Mozahn's Mire

In the center of the eastern half of Otros lies a section of land scared by the battles of an age past. While Otros itself is known for the swam that covers its land, this is where the darkest and dampest can be found.   As it stands the land is littered with half sunken ruins. A remainder of the stronghold that was held for d by Morzahn, a renowned general of the demons armies. While under Mozahn's control, the stronghold was the source of a demon invasion that seemingly never ended. Years passed with the surrounding settlements constantly under attack. This forced Crathe to focus most of their attention south, leaving their northern borders susceptible to raids from the Akeshian tribes.   Ever since his eventually defeat the area has been abandoned with travelers avoiding passing through due to the numerous myths of the land being haunted. The rumours hold some truth as there are still demons, angels and even curious devils that linger amongst the murk. These creatures have been working to uncover anything of use from the ruins, whether weapons or information that could potentially sway the blood wars. From time to time unaware travelers pass through and run into the different forces still lurking around. It is from the survivors of these encounters that the rumours spread.
