Morgaine Bordeaux is Thom Bordeaux grandmother. A kind yet firm woman who seems out-of-place in the Outer City of Havere.

Personal history
Morgaine was born to a merchant family in the inner city where her father ran a yarn and thread wholesale business. In her early adulthood, her family under increasing competition and economic pressure went bankrupt. They were forced to sell their business, home, and belongings and move to the Outer City.
There she helped her father and mother make ends meet in a small tailor shop. One day while she was working in the shop, she met a young handsome pauper looking for a new pair of trousers (which was actually an excuse to talk to Morgaine). The two eventually courted, fell in love, and were allowed to marry. A year later, Morgaine's only son Cyrille was born.
The success of shop steadily increased and so did the interests of the gangs in the neighborhood - particularly the Brotherhood in Arms. The BIA charged the small business "protection fees," and year after year slowly increased them. After several years of this, Morgaine's father and husband decided to confront the BIA. For their insolence, the BIA murdered the both of them and burned down the shop. Heartbroken, Morgaine's mother passed away a few years later.
Morgaine opened a new shop to support her growing son, but kept it as inconspicuous as possible. She succeeded to raise a rebellious child who fathered a child of his own, Thom Bordeaux, at the age of 17. The mother unfortunately died in labor. To support her and Thom, Cyrille joined the crew of Le Chance du Vent and was rarely around to rear poor Thom.
