Eilune Lagona

Eilune Lagona is a half-sister of Casvallan Lagona, one of a triplet of court priestesses. Famed for both her beauty and brwn, Eilune earned her interregional fame as the Eicona for Marlene Mehnot. She works with local river deities known as the Washerwomen, and specializes in the second sight current of lithomancy.

Eilune is the High Priestess at the Court of Red Waves Temple in Meld's Mouth. She is known for her showy rites and performances at festivals, as well as for her impeccable fashion and charity work. Eilune is effectively one of the reasons Meld's Mouth runs so well. She was so widely accepted into Glendatis society that she was able to ease tensions between the Catuvellani Lagona and the Caranhir Dynasty by marrying Conmaro Caranhir.

She and Conmaro are unfettered in proving that their children should be eligible for the inheritance of the Caranhir family just like their cousins. They would normally be excluded from inheritance due to Eilune being a foreigner and the Glendatis being matrilineal. Though it's not well known, they have been unscrupulous on behalf of their children, of which they have at least nine, many times.

Eilune is a moderately talented warrior but is far more suited to religious affairs. As the Eicona of her unit, she is responsible for the stability of the terrain and coverage of influence. She is not often involved in close quarter combat though she can hold her own if needed. Her political influence is unfortunately limited by her marriage into an insular, matrilineal culture. She makes a good figurehead but has trouble getting any of her decisions or plans passed no matter how good they are. Eilune is highly charismatic and admired by her peers, and has decent insight into military affairs. Most of her assets are tied up with her husband's family, but due to her religious position and her own pedigree Eilune has a decent amount of finances and resources.
