Arthun Larouje (arðɨːn laruːχ)
Arthun Larouje is a warrior and sorcerer from a coastal community in Meld's Mouth with ties to Tega Caranhira, and was the advisor to Tenvanis Caranhir, a high-profile figure in the area. This all changed when she was witness to the aftermath of Tyl Hen's radioactive pollution on the Myacoris people. She is prominent member of the Court of Collapaed Aeons.
This is not her first time competing in the Catu Samonii - the cycle prior, she was on Lalaba's winning team before they seemed to fall out. Now she seeks a place for herself rid of social barriers and tip-toeing, and becomes interested in piezoelectric technology. She is connected to Avalach Abellion and Rodoric Maur, though it's not sure how personal their relationship is. It is hinted she was friendlier with Avalach's older brother, Cimbelin Abellion, prior to his death, and that she struggles with Avalach's contrasting personality despite their shared goals.
Arthun tries very hard to find a direction in her life, and helps set up the network that would eventually become Godhead Radio while in Eskern during the Catu Samoni X LAA as the Camula of Team Cypress. She is ultimately beheaded in one of the sudden death guillotine matches, but not before mortally wounding her opponent.
Not wanting to be convalescent until her cycle is up, she requests her body be offered and eaten by Rauma Latrodecta. Several hundred years in the future, a Latrodecti who resembles Arthun appears as part of the Ladypurses, a collective of Resurrectionists and Alrauna headed by Lambscress, possibly hinting at her soul's transmigration.

Physical Description
Special abilities
Arthun is a highly skilled offensive fighter who uses her low body mass as an advantage combined with lightweight Arsenical Bronze armor and weaponry to be one of the most agile combatants. She is an expert of Dassodarsa similar to Lalaba. As an expert with the Creature Current, Arthun is one of the limited pool of lithomancers who can generate a Magical Quadrant during combat without using Sided Magic. The astrological placements and existing terrain at the time are very dependent on what sort of terrain she can influence, and thus, as a Centuria she is highly skilled at manipulating terrain in small to medium-sized battlefields. Out of the four alignments of the Quadrant, Arthun is able to manipulate the terrain of Wet (Sanguine and Phlegmatic) quadrants.
As a user of copper arsenic, Arthun excels with arsenical bronze alloy weapons and armor. The strength of arsenical bronze as well as being corrosion resistant helps against Citron and Brine users and can also cut easily through some softer Heavy Metals as well. However, her weapons are less effective against Brimstone, whose heating and cooling-based magic can affect the malleability and sharpness of arsenical bronze weapons. When it comes to combat against the Tetrahedra minerals, Arthun’s weapons can also be quite effective and retain a hard edge against flint and silica, but struggles against quartz which is much harder.
Five Burdens of the Broken Reaper
Arthun uses a bronze-plated tooth to place in the socket of one of the five skulls on her Curious Shield, allowing her to draw a weapon from the bones in her shield. She does this through an incantation which unlocks the servitor (created with Creature current magic) which inhabits the bone and manifests it. This allows Arthun to change or replace her weaponry when necessary, but more importantly, the composition of arsenic in the bronze can be changed by using teeth with different concentrations. These tools also release arsenic into the atmosphere as they are used, and can plunge arsenic into the ecosystem by throwing one and puncturing a tree or even the soil.
Harmonious Soil Diffusion
Arthun can transform the terrain to her advantage so long as there is enough moisture in the environment to exploit - this is why it only works in Wet Terrains, though Arthun has been able to manipulate her immediate environment with her sweat - at least until she was injured and lost her ability to sweat properly. Arthun uses this to partially reattach her head during a fight where she is fatally wounded, incorporating vines from a Sanguine Bromeliade terrain to keep her alive long enough to wound the opponent. Changing the Sanguine or Phelgmatic terrain can allow the arsenic content to increase drastically.
Condemned Dishonest Sea
If Arthun is in a sufficiently humid environment, she can effectively create an atmosphere of arsenic by breaking the eye of her buckle, which releases arsenine gas and doubles the output if the shield his hit, as well as causing her Five Burden weapons to become laced with arsenic. This particular spell is terrain-wide and can cause mass illness and confusion to armies, though Heavy Metal users tend to be less affected by arsenic poisoning and Orpiment and Realgar users are all but immune to it, using arsenic themselves. When used in one-on-one combat, it can cause acute poisoning which although curable, can leave lasting damage to the body and brain.
Specialized Equipment
Curious Shield - This is a round buckler shield made of arsenic bronze which hangs from Arthun’s belt and is her main hand-to-hand combat shield. It has been decorated with metal studs and inlaid with electroplated bones, some of which appear to be fingerbone and rib bones. There are five bone fragments in total, which matches with embellished heads which there are also five, surrounding an enamel caubuchon eye, colored with arsenic sulfide to appear bright green. This weapon seems like an insignificant shield but has a few magical uses in battle.
- Activating Arthun’s technique Condemned Dishonest Sea, by breaking the enamel eye, which causes arsenic to spill into the air and interact with the moisture. Condemned Dishonest Sea can only be used if they are in a Wet (Sanguine or Phlegmatic) terrain, and thus might require she have established a terrain first.
- By inserting a tooth (worn around her wrists) into a slot in the five different skull, Arthun can unlock a bronze weapon and draw it from one of the bones the shield, this technique is known as the Five Burdens of the Broken Reaper
Molten Fang - This is a bronze thrusting dagger, shaped similar to a puglio, which Arthun uses as her main weapon, incorporating it with her high-precision striking combat style and using the sharp edges in combination to slice through tough flesh, organic armor, and even bone. The effect Molten Fang has on even some of the toughest armor and bone is said to be like a “hot knife through tallow”. In Sanguine terrains, she may be able to reform the tip into molten bronze, and may be hot enough to weaken harder metal and rock.
The Five Burdens
These are five weapons made of arsenic bronze and bone, which Arthun inherited from deceased members of the Court of Collapsed Aeons.
Tausogaisos - “Implicit Spear” - A spear which has both stabbing/slashing as well as throwing utilities, it has a short and light shaft made of the electroplated bone of the deceased ancestor Tausorix “The Silent King”, a former elder in the Court.
Buracladia - “Stocky Sword” - A sword which increases in width and weight two thirds of the way up the blade, in order to offset the relative softness of bronze against blunt force objects. This is closer to a medieval longsword, but due to being made of arsenic bronze it is lighter. Its pommel and handle is made of the bone of the blade’s maker, Cassicnarigana “The Queen Born of Bronze”, a master sword-maker from the Court.
Caletobealia - “Stern Axe” - A palstave axe which can be used for thrusting and blunt trauma that cannot be accomplished with a dagger. It is a narrow blade which offers additional quick, agile offensive attacks which can trap the opponent’s weapons at close range to disarm them. This axe, as well as Cambealia, both utilize bones from the twin axe-makers Caletomara ”The Strong Stern Lady”, sister to Cammomara.
Cambealia - “Crooked Axe” - A flanged axe which can be used for blunt force trauma which cannot be accomplished with a dagger, its broad blade creates a cleaving strike and can also be effective for trapping, particularly as it can cleave through shields and deflect stronger weapons than a dagger. This axe, as well as Cambealia, both utilize bones from the twin of Caletomara, Cammomara “The Strong Crooked Lady”
Cnamaserra - “Bone Sickle” - A halberd used for long-range combat, both for trapping, slashing, and devastating swinging attacks. Uses a bone from its former wielder, Verbeliocandra “The True Yarrow Maiden”, the founder and first Queen of the Court of Collapsed Aeons.
Eye of the Electric Needle
This is Arthun’s fencing epée, which is also electroplated with arsenic bronze and can pick up static electricity.
