Thomas Mickelow

Not much is known about his background other than he is the son of a merchant and that he was from Lairen however there is no sign of anyone called Mickelow in the region. He was 21 when he died having sacrificed himself to save Duke Alexandred Larmen. After his untimely death, he was given the symbol of courage on his grave and the Regional Crest was chiselled into the stone.   It is said that he washed up on the shores of Ziian from a shipwreck with no recollection of his past life or the language he spoke. An old man took him in to teach him some Aslandic and Ziianra just so he could get by. The old man died not long after so Thomas headed off to find out more of his surroundings. After meeting new people in Ziian he realised that he needed to find a home and shelter that he could stay safe in. He eventually found himself in Tepecco after a lot of travel and ended up being taken as part of the underaged workforce hidden deep within the forests. The strict slave-like work meant that he never had time to figure out an escape plan. After 7 long torturous months, he managed to create an escape plan. Magic in these "workforces" was forbidden and when they were put into their groups they were given bracelets which measured how many spells you cast.   So without using any magic, he managed to fetch all the information that he could need for an escape. he formulated a plan and executed it flawlessly. Once he escaped he made his way up into Lairen when he found Duke Alexandred Larmen, who was around the same age at the time. they were almost inseparable from the very start. When Alexan had to leave to go to the keep Thomas still saw him as Alexan would often sneak out of the castle to see him. then one day after a huge fight against his father Alexan was locked in his room. Little did anyone know that a secret group "working for the best interests of Jumak", or so they thought, were hatching a plan to kill Alexan to provoke war.   Thomas, not knowing of this scheme or that Alexan had been locked in his room. went up to the castle and managed to sneak in and climb up the side to reach Alexans room to find him curled up on his bed. Alexan and Thomas had a little talk about things that had been going on then suddenly the door unlocked and swung open to show a hooded figure with several throwing knives staring at them. Thomas lept in front of Alexan and managed to deflect some of the knives, however, one had managed to embed itself deep in his chest. The next few things where a blur for everyone, however, the knife thrower was caught and Thomas Mickelow passed away in Alexans arms.   When Thomas Mickelow was buried he was placed in the grave within the inner ring of the keep grounds. He was awarded the royal crest and a badge of courage for having given his life to save Alexan.     Falmer Larman's Knowledge:

Thomas was a human with no magical abilities. He once lived in England and was on a trip to lower Asia with his father when they lost course and ended up in rough waters. The ship he was on broke and was smashed by the waves leaving Thomas to the cold depths of the rough seas. Not long after the disaster, he washed up on Aslandian shores.
