"Drown" - Nicor

I had the idea for Nicors while contemplating how "spirits", "fey" and "demons" could all be used interchangeably in parts of the world, and I began wondering about how and when the distinction became more prevalent. I eventually came across the old Anglo-Saxon word "nicor" (meaning "water monster" or "water demon") and how it was associated with both the Knucker and the Nixie, which are completely different entities in terms of how they look and act! I decided that I wanted to play with the idea of a Nicor, and this is what I came up with!

Nicors are water demons that are believed to have originally been formed from corrupted Nykr. A Lesser Demon, they are still considered Sapient Demons due to their capability for speech, complex action, and self-awareness. They predominantly inhabit waters and wetlands, and are capable of extreme cruelty and malice.
