"Amiss" - Lea of Whispers

"Amiss" drove me mad for the entirety of the challenge, until I made the decision to write about the Lea of Whispers! I wasn't originally going to include it in the Spooktober challenge, as it was more of a Fey thing, but then I realised that the Fey can actually be terrifying too! Its links to ghosts also gave it the little bit of thematic nudge I needed to include it as my last prompt!

The Lea of Whispers is an Ever-Shifting Locus (a place that has no fixed location within a Plane) within the Border-Fey, famous for its beautiful yet haunting landscape. The atmosphere of the area is permanently touched by the sensation of something not being quite right, and the presence of Whispergrass hidden amongst the usual forage can cause major issues traversing the land in the rain.
