32nd President of the United States Franklin Delano Roosevelt (a.k.a. FDR)
Franklin Delano Roosevelt served as President of the USA from 1933 until his death in 1945, a record 12 years. He was first elected in 1932 with plans to end the ongoing great depression. His 'New Deal' plan helped bring the country out of the Great depression quickly winning him a second term, and then a third. On December 7th, 1941, during his third term, The Empire of Japan attacked multiple overseas territories, notably The US Naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i. The following day, the USA entered WWII on the side of the Allied Powers. In 1944, after the invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe had begun, he won a fourth term. Just a month before the war ended in Europe, and a few before it ended in Asia, He died. His Vice President Harry Truman took over as 33rd President.
