Day 5:
We have 5770 chips
(Luck stat: 98)
We woke up in the morning determined to win big and learn more.
1. Garden Tour
We walk through the garden and listen to the terrible tour guide. Midway through, we notice a teenage boy lost in the nature. He looks at the tree with longing.
"I am longing," he says to no one in particular.
We go to Oberon and ask him 'Where is the hardest to find item inn the scavenger hunt?'. His old man face emerges
2: Scavenger Hunt
on the fifth floor. A classroom with a white board that reads "SCAVENGER HUNT". Two magidrones, one with a trench coat, and one with a belt and tie. Johnny Gold and Dirk Diamond. The one is trench coat is narrating the scene psychically to us all. He's doing it with Feensteen, which he smokes as a cigarette. He tells us to go to Untold Fortunes.
The fortune room is ransacked, and the fortune teller is away (apparently in the slots room). I looked around the room and saw boot prints on the shelf portion of the desk, which... is weird. There's a page on the desk that's been torn up, only the spell "Message" remains. The boot prints belong to a smaller race, or perhaps a child. The spellbook it belonged to is gone. This is clearly the book that we're meant to look for.
The magidrone seems... sus. also gay.
According the the map, there are a few places you could cast a spell without the magidrones knowing. The breakroom on the third floor is a likely suspect. However, it's a magidrone only room. Toga asks Dirk Diamond to go in and check for us. Cedric tries to follow him into the room, but he stops us. I send the quasit (invisible)
It's a club where all the magidrones are partying. Smashing their heads together, doing lines of feensteen, They look... hype. Dirk walks to the back into a hallway, backrooms style. Florescent lines on the ceiling. This is where the magidrones must live. He goes to his room, a dimly lit office with a dingy cot. He has stacks of files, but theyre either empty pages or scribbles. He leaves then goes to Johnny's room. It's way nicer. He turns around again.
We go back to the scavenger room and I ask johnny if there are any wizards that are small. He knows of the woman who hangs around Oshiro, a boy at bingo. I tried to get 15k instead of 1.5k, but the magidrone saw through my deception, even though I'm sooo good at lying.
3: Bingo
I suggest we go to Bingo. There's a bulletin board with ads for different rooms in the casino. This room used to be a library. We're all handed Bingo sheets, and the magidrones signals for us to sit down in the room past the desk. There's a huge rectangular room with a loft. Sitting alone, there's a little boy. He salutes us casually when we walk in. He's trying to act nonchalant. He's like 15-16. We see a woman with a really close to winning, so I send my quasit over to steal it, and WIN IMMIDIEATLY.
+500 = 7770
He tells about about a dwarven woman who works in Weaverly place. She doesn't cast spells though. There's also a dwarf at poker. there's also the woman who works with
3.5: Weaverly Place
Ty gets interrogated by the other spellcasters in the party, and then convinced to teleport the group. Heidi clearly dislikes Ty. I ask her about the Red Scarf , and she says that her son has it. He stopped sending her letters one day, and she tracked him to the casino and has been searching for him for months.
4: Slots
Ty says that someone who knows Twillian, Heidi's son, is in Slots. So we go there.
Toga goes slots
new total: 11,280
Ty points out the guy who knows Twilliam. There's a dwarven man, short even for a dwarf. He's at the book themed slot machine. His crew (all dwarves) surround him. He gets a big win and his crew chants "small small small small".
Day 6:
We get a newly updated pamphlet. The only difference, a new FAQ entry
Q: How do I cash out?
A: You can cash out at the Magidrinks and Eats or the Novelty's counter
1: Untold Fortunes
Daeran gets his fortune told
Your blood holds a world of wonders and powers held in great demand. But this may well be your downfall, such power does not come from man.
ps. fortune teller is caucasian
2: Armory
It's not a room we can enter, but rather a large vault door guarded by two armored magidrones. they stand guard with halberts, which appear to be immovable rods with paper mache blades attached to the top end. One of the magidrones goes to check on something, and as he turns the oversized crank, Daeren notices it is both physically locked and magically locked. It's bigger on the inside and filled to the gills with an unbelievable amount of weapons, armor, and crates. The crew shields Cedric from view and he attempts to stealthily cast invisibility on one of his rings. One of the guards hears it, and confronts us, but gets verbally outplayed, seeing as no one is invisible. The ring turns into an invisible snake and drops from Cedrics hand to the ground, slithering towards the still open vault door. As the door closes, the snake homunculus gets right through. The armory is a pocket room, like our bedrooms. Some of the crates have the Atraxian Navy sigil (a dove with a olive branch in it's claws). The snake slithers into of the the crates to discover it's full of feensteen. Chock full.
Cedric, being a bad father, decides to leave the homunculus inside the vault. The homocuus, int he meantime, is instructed to find the crew's weapons.
3: Zumba
Zumba is a large pink room, very barbie dream house. Rows of people dance in time following the instructions of a magidrone instructer in the middle of the room. "Work those glutes, Ladies" he yells.
We all do our best, failing miserably. Brilliance trips on his own feet and is carried to the pile of fallen dancers against the wall. We all get a +5 to dexterity checks and saving throws.
