Letters to Meeka - 4 - Vrimford Vermin

The guards directed us to a cave full of goblins. They wanted their goblin problem... dealt with, as it appears these ones were becoming a nuance.
Zaheed got to scout ahead with Dresmin. I don't think he's taken to the boy, but I feel he might. If he chooses Dresmin I wouldn't be upset, but I worry what Dresmin would do with him. Alas, it's no worry as of late due to the fact he remains attached to me. I do hope whoever he chooses next will be kind to him and care for him as Serket and I have.
 
But outside of that, they came back with a report and plan to annihilate the 9 or so goblins. A fire to smoke them out and a choke at the entrance. Dresmin did well in starting the fire and we quickly put the shaky plan into motion. I guess I should be impressed that Cyra has kept to a plan, but her loner streak continues. We still know nothing about her beyond how intense she can be. Sessile had a rough day today. Fell in the cave and was knocked unconscious by the goblins. I was able to stabilize her, but she was quite rattled once Dresmin had gotten her up. She hadn't spoken a word and was very quiet at dinner before leaving for bed.
 
Which, mother they gave us rooms in the top hotel in Vrimford. We ate for free and received lodging without charge. The grandeur is nice, but I know there is a price to always be paid.
Speaking of my paranoia, Davis. He continues to merge with the man I briefly met as Jeremiah. He of course denied it when I pressed him, and actually revealed an... interesting trick he's developed. The man hasn't got a clue how but he seems able to create ghosts of himself and blink to the ghosts location. He did so when we talked after falling out of his chair. It was alarming, but I sit in my room FASCINATED! He seems to have developed magic, despite his hatred of it, and I will say... He has little control over it at this point. I do wonder what could have caused such a malady for him. Either way... he's grown much more interesting. He currently is, I assume, drinking himself to sleep over it.
 
Dresmin also brought a girl back, one who was rescued from the goblins. She seemed infatuated with the boy, and he was all nerves. I pulled her cards and got the 2 of wands. Seems the two of them are going to be seeing more of one another. For how long, who can say? But she was very eager. Hopefully the boy doesn't get himself heartbroken.
He also gave me 2 platnium and 5 gold towards his 200 gold debt. Leaves him at a debt of 173 gold.
 
This letter is a mess... I'm tired, and a bit sore, so as I can hear you say, I need some rest.
