We finished up the battle by killing the big wolf. The smaller wolves that remained were either quickly killed or ran off.
As the Big Wolf died, its skin seemed to boil away and there was a weird coldness that seemed to fall upon all of us. I felt like the cold presence was a ghost leaving and running out of the wolf's body. It could be a variation of a dire wolf or what the hunters were talking about in the woods.
The great evil that poured out of the wolf seemed to go towards Mithos's Manor!
Go with the Mayor to Mithos's Manor tomorrow! We will be leaving tomorrow morning!
The Alchemist is willing to give us some free potions to use for free!
The Jail was broken into, Vam Vam was killed and the other guy escaped! The plant found the trails from the escaped cultists heading south! We then went to sleep!
When we woke up in the morning we went to the Alchemist to get some potions, we got a water breathing potion and oil of potency and we let the plant dude hold the potions!
We then headed out with the townspeople to explore the manor once again. I went in and tried seeing what all the symbols in that one room meant but I couldn't figure it out.
The priest tells us that these symbols are a very dark necromancy spell, saying that it takes the soul/spirit out of the body and keeps them on earth. In Basic terms, forcibly making someone into a ghost.
The evidence is pointing to the fact that Mithos is the Ghost!
We then showed the priest the books that we had gathered from one of the basement rooms at Mithos's house.
I then started reading from Mithos's journal, he seemed to be talking a lot about different kinds of ghosts (Banshees, and other kinds of ghosts).
The Priest seems to be really concerned about owning these types of books and having them in your possession. These are not books normal people should have!
Me and the Priest can read the first 2 of the 3 books. Supernatural Mutations on Wildlife(elven) & Odnul Ravredd’s Treatise on Ghosts. (Dwarven), however, neither of us knows what the language of the third book is.
I put these books in my bag along with Mithos's Journal! However, I did read Mithos's Journal on the walk back. I found out that the circle was definitely what lead to making a ghost.
We then decided to head to the standing stones, which is the meeting place of the cultists. One day we may go check out Kalem Malith but for now, we are going to take the journey to the standing stones and check it all out.
We set out at about mid-day and then camped out for the night and also did the same the next day. I slept in a tree for the first and second night and Kersenky Broadleaf slept in a lean two with his bear. The plant boy stayed awake to keep watch during the night. We travelled to a spot that we assume is a few hour's journeys away from the standing stones. I learned a little bit about my fellow adventurers, they are pretty cool.
All/some of us awaken when there is something that is getting quite a bit too close to camp making an eerie noise.
