Kirkland made a point to have the initiate, Dameon, speak his mind about me. He was boorish and ignorant, though Kirkland seemed more upset at my silent judgement of the initiate.
 
Kirkland escorted me to Prince Xarter's house. During the walk he reprimanded me for showcasing an emotional reaction to the initiate's words.
 
When we arrived, Kirkland appeared troubled due to Xena's absence, though appeared to have a positive shift in mood when I expressed interest in his recent studies. It reminded me of our first meeting, where he showcased a significant aptitude with Pre-Tech knowledge.
 
Meanwhile, the initiates from the Onyx Circle invited me to a meeting at an interesting locale. The hostility from our previous meeting was evident, which I saw prudent to address. Apparently, Dameon blames me for his failure to kill his target. His rational for this was my actions taking down a security system on the ship that alerted the constructs. His assessment is not unfounded, and I offered an apology. He absurdly insisted that I serve him during this mission, which I refused.
 
Xena soon arrived and decided to join our retinue. She brought information that there was a planned ambush on our way to the Fort Marrow. Through our collective insight, we were able to determine that the most opportune area to ambush us was on a narrow pass in the mountains. We now have a set plan.
