God. Damn. It. May Caba smite you, Ganoes!
This has been a seriously harrowing day. I mean, how the hell did it spiral to this? We knew something wasn't right, and I've been itching to leave for days, but I never expected something like this to happen!
So, we fought in the arena yesterday. Was that only yesterday? We fought in the arena, anyway, and we won. Not that they liked that, the bastards. But we won, and I noticed people being more nervous around us. Not openly spurning us or anything, but nervous. I guess I just assumed they saw how much damage we could deal and were wary. Now I'm not so sure. That may be part of it, yes, but personally I think their nervousness may stem more from the fact that someone sent out a kill order on us. That Kurra somehow knew about, the (lovable) sneak.
We were shopping and finalizing the last things we needed before leaving. Rune wanted to look at scrolls, so she went ahead to that gnome's magic shop. She wasn't there when we arrived, though - only a lot of salt water, a few fish and a squid was there. And then Kurra tells us, in that voice he's been using, that someone has sent out a kill order on us, to be executed at sundown. What.
It must be the Cult of Yellow. I mean, who else are that adamant about offing us?
In any case, Rune is gone and so should we be, except maybe not in the same way. Though come to think of it, I wouldn't mind a shortcut to the Dawn Straights - rather there than here right now, and it certainly sweetens the deal that it is an absolutely beautiful ocean.
