1. Where were you born?

I was told I was born in a small town by a river, while my parents were traveling to a city, where my mother had been contracted to teach.

 
2. Who are your parents?

Louise (Human Mother), Alive, but living in assisted care at a lords house. Helius (Half Elf, adopted son)

 
3. What were you doing before you left to be an adventurer? Or have you even “left” yet? What was it you
left behind?

I was a doctor at a small church of Helm. There I gave medical treatment to those attending. I also studied medical books while there and taught my son how to do so as well.

 
4. Who do you know in the world?

Lord Atreus cares for my mother in one of his residences. He owed me a favor for fixing a ruptured appendix years back.

 
5. Why did you leave to become an adventurer?

My church was burned by undead from an unknown source. My adopted son killed, trying to help our church cleric evacuate the vicinity. I left years ago now, to pursue my own path. To study necromancy, use undead to protect life and discover secrets of necromancy, without extending my life to do magically to do so. I will not become the monsters who burned my home, but I will learn to control them.

 
6. How did you become the class you are?

Used what savings I had at the time to buy proper books and casting reagents. With none to really teach me in the realms, I had to go out of my way and study.

 
7. What do you want? Immediate goals? Long term goals?

I want to keep those close to me healthy. Even if it means sacrificing my own health to do so. My immediate goals are to practice what I have learned through years of study and practice. I can heal without giving my allegiance to a god, I can animate and control undead and give them a purpose beneficial to the land of the living.

 
8. What do you love / hate / fear? (Ideals)

I loved my son. I love my mother. I hate undead stomping around without agency and causing violence. I hate that Helm watched by as his church burned. I fear that I might lose control of my powers and endeavor to perfect my craft.

 
9. What do you respect / value in others, the world, or life? (Bonds)

I respect those making a difference. I respect those that have honed their craft. I respect intelligence and I also value logical honor.
 
10. What major flaws do you have? They could be physical, mental, social?

He is afraid that he could take his plans too far. He is not very strong physically, so he has to rely on his intelligence.

 
11. Are you heroic?

Yes. But I will not die a fools death out of anger/unchecked emotions.

 
12. Are you merciful?

It depends on their original intentions. If they planned to murder me for my money, I might let them off and give them some coin. If they tried to kill me for the sake of killing me, no.

 
13. How do your powers work?

I have my spellbook that I keep close and the magic that I have learned tucked away in my mind. I absently grab onto my old holy symbol of helm when I cast my magic sometimes.

Did you go on any adventures before this?

 
Not many, I spent my time on the road healing people and giving medicine to those in need. I have spent many a night studying in a back corner of a tavern or in libraries that have nice quiet places to sit. Do you have any people you know in the town you’re from? Not many, a local tavern keep or two. As an acolyte, I can go to churches of Helm and adjacent churches and make friendly conversation.

Did something mysterious/ unknown happen to you or you heard about it? What did you parents do before this?

I was told that my mother was a scholar of history. Unfortunately, her memory started to fade into her later years. Which is why I left her in the care of Lord Atreus.

 
What are you trying to accomplish, made progress towards? What struggles/ flaws does your character currently have that they will have to try and overcome?

I am hoping to make progress on Project Death Watch. Any undead I encounter I will attempt to control them and change their intentions.
