Boblin, a somewhat-simple and clumsy goblin, who accidentally became chieftain of his even-moreso-simple tribe.

Boblin, a somewhat-simple goblin, was born into the even-moreso-simple tribe of Qwhoblin Two-Fang.
As one of the lesser tribes, Tribe Two-Fang was a rather small settlement on the outskirts of larger goblin 'civil'isation.
 
The year Boblin turned seven (almost an adult within the tribe) the tribe was discovered by a wandering big-big (known by the common folk as an Ogre). Initially, the tribe were delighted by the presence of the big-big: if they could befriend him he would be an invaluable ally. However, diplomatic relations soon broke down. None of the tribe could speak the primitive, brutish tongue of the big-bigs, and the big-big was too simple to understand the superior language of Goblin. The only sound the big-big would make was 'blerghh', and so the Goblins assumed this was the big-big's name.
 
After many hours of attempting to amaze Blerghh with their demonstrations of fantastic acrobatics, crude songs and poems, and by showing him their vast hoard of wealth (mostly the bones of their ancestors with a few coins they had found in the valley, dropped by travellers). None of this seemed to impress Blerghh though.
One of the tribe though, the brewer known as Yoblin, had the brilliant idea to offer Blerghh some of their finest (aka their most vinegar-esque) grog. This, Blerghh loved.
Within a few minutes, Blerghh had drank several casks of the tribe's grog, though the tribe were happy to let him as they thought this would secure their friendship with him. After the number of casks Blerghh had drank surpassed the known-numbers (10. Goblins struggle once they run out of fingers to count with), Chief Qwhoblin kneeled before the foot of Blerghh, displaying his ceremonial double-bladed scimitar, Two-Fang, in the traditional goblin custom of declaring friendship.
 
Thus began what is known by the goblins of once-Tribe Two Fang as the big bad-times.
 
Blerghh mistook this ritual as an offering, and took the blade from the chieftain's hands, and began to use the sacred blade as a toothpick. The goblins, shocked by this began to protest, however their stirring was swiftly settled when Blerghh, still drinking his grog, accidentally stepped onto Qwhoblin, killing him instantly. As goblin tradition clearly states (they think, the original manuscripts were burnt long ago) that this made Blerghh the new chieftain. And so began a year of oppression as the goblins became little more than servants to Blerghh, spending every day brewing and serving him grog (and occasionally being eaten when they didn't).
 
On Boblin's eight birthday, he underwent his tribe's coming-of-age ritual, in which he had to choose his role in society and prove his capability. Boblin, despite being rather scrawny, selected to become a barbarian, hoping to become a great warrior. He failed with flying colours, and thus was banished to journey to the peak of big-rock (the mountain whose base the goblins lived at) to meditate and ask the ancestors to help him select a new path.
 
Boblin was not happy with this and so rather begrudgingly began his journey to the peak. Along the way, he picked up a big (well, big for a goblin) lump of wood and began to take out his anger and frustration on the nearby trees and rocks. One of the rocks, however, was actually a loose boulder, and upon hitting it he sent it tumbling down the mountainside, directly towards his camp.
Boblin raced back to the camp, terrified of the punishment he would recieve.
 
Upon arriving, the camp was utterly destroyed. Almost every tent was collapsed in a heap. However, Boblin couldn't see any bodies around. Not a single goblin was in the camp at all. Eventually, Boblin found in the centre of the camp the body of the now-dead Blerghh. Around him lay a few of his guards, also dead. On the floor, beside them, was the revered double-blade scimitar, though one of the blades was now shattered. Boblin, not really thinking, picked up the blade. He was confused however. Where were the other goblins?
 
He climbed up on top of the colossal corpse before him, trying to get a better vantage point. Once he had clambered up, he heard the cries of distraught goblins, and in the distance could see his tribe racing back to the now destroyed camp. Blerghh had demanded that the whole tribe go and collect sugarcane from the nearby river in order to make more grog.
 
Upon their return, the once-confused goblins immediately understood what had happened. Boblin, stood atop the body of Blerghh holding Two-Fang, had clearly chosen to prove himself to the tribe by slaying their oppressor. It was evidently quite a fight, levelling the camp, but the lack of injury on Boblin showed he truly was worthy of becoming the tribe's barbarian. The loud crash they had heard was obviously the booming cheer of the great god Maglubiyet as Boblin landed the killing blow. They weren't quite sure where the big rock came from, although some of the goblins were pretty sure it had always been there and the others were just big-stupid for not noticing it before.
 
And so Boblin, barely no-longer a youth, became the chief of Tribe Broken-Fang. A mighty barbarian warrior, the chosen of Maglubiyet.
 
Though the tribe could not stay here. Rumours of more big-bigs were spreading among the goblinfolk, and without the protection of Blerghh they would be vulnerable to attack. And so a great exodus began under the leadership of Boblin, as they searched for a new home (and more coins to add to their horad).
 
An exodus which after a year had still not been fruitful. Boblin had led the goblin people to many places, but nowhere they could call home. Word reached Boblin's pointed ears of an island called Vester, however, and so he lead a small scouting party to investigate it, whilst the rest of the tribe camped just outside of a small harbour town.
