Apparel & Accessories

Eugene frequently wears a Tailored Stitches Gasmask and Hood for cleanlyness. He also wears a Bowlerhat on top because he believes that people find him more trustworth when he wears it.

The coat Eugene wears is made from a treated leather that is coated with a lin layer of rubber. The coat has many pockets, internal and external; Eugene stores medicine in these.

Eugene wears a pair of Rubber coated Boots and Gloves for sanitary reasons.

Eugene can frequently be seen with a medical satchel slung over his shoulder.

Eugene carries with him a steel mace. This mace used to be too heavy for Eugene, but lugging it around for a feew years has numbed him to its weight.

Eugene's Symbol of Faith is a Copper Pocket-Watch, this watch has 17 hands and allows Eugene to read the exact time, day, week, month and year, This pocket watch can also store 3 spells inside of it.

Mentality

Personal history

Eugene grew up the Small Town of Overbarrow. His parents were Stocks Hillard, a Gnome Historian and Anitarra Jopin, a Nem Ember Listener. Being the only child of the two meant Eugene was educated in both the fields of Magic and History from an early age. Every Sunday Eugene and his family would depart for the local Daylight Pantheon temple called "The Star-Founder's Den" a temple dedicated to the God of Night.

Eugene was always a frightened, worrisome child. His peers called him "Whiny", "Snivelly" and "Cowardly" but he only thought he was just being careful.Being so different from his peers, Eugene soon found himself as the target of bullying and name calling. This bullying lead to several traumatic events and several of Eugenes fears, such as his Hemophobia, Entomaphobia, Nyctophobia and Anatidaephobia.

Eugene turned 18 in 1961. During this time, The Great Continental War was still raging and conscription was lurking in everytown for the unlucky men & boys who were over 18 years of age. Eugene did not want to go and fight in a war. War is Filthy and Bloody.

So, on the eve of his 18th Birthday, Eugene gathered his possesions and fled Overbarrow. He left a letter of farewell to his parents and promised to write.

Eugene had worked in the Star-Founder's Den and enjoyed it, so to fufil his faith and avoid War he decieded to become a cleric. He travelled to many towns and many churches, at each something unfortunate would happen to him.

A bucket would fall on his head and knock his out, Tools would come to life and chase him until he left the sacred grounds. Once he even burst aflame simply by entering the building. The better clergy took pity upon him and though that while he was cursed, he was still welcome by them. The more extreme clergy declaired him possessed or a demon and attempted to kill him. After so many rejections, Eugene came to believe that he had somehow done something to earn so many God's Ire, Distaste or Pity.

After many months and much travel, Eugene stumbled into a small ruin, barely recognisable from the lush woodlands around it.

The plants inside seemed to have grown slower somehow, and different parts had aged separately.

At first he did not realise, but then he saw the signs.
A Knocked over and tarnished silver candle stand, a moth devoured collection of books with only the covers remaining, the once fine carpet that where he placed his feet came up a luscious red.

Upon seeing that this was once a place of worship. Eugene watched warily for the signs of a gods ire.
None came.

Eugene then assumed that this holy place must have been defiled somehow. The blood of a priest spilt, an act of evil performed or a false diety proclaimed, something that would make a God abandon its temple.

He decieded to Pray and so he sat near the altar and prayed. He did not pray to any particular God, for he did not know of many that liked him, of those that didn't dislike him, most only tolerated him and the last pitied him.

Yet, Eugene still prayed.

He nearly screamed when someone answered.

In 1970 after 9 years of hard work, Eugene had restored His Goddess' temple; Eugene recieved a Vision from his Goddess and it terrified him.

His Goddess told him that in order to prevent what occurs in his vision he must find 'those 4 who will stumble across something larger than they intended.' and that he must leave immediately for the North-West Coast. So he did.

Mental Trauma

Possesses numerous phobias such as Germaphobia,Toxiphobia, Hemophobia, Entomaphobia, Nyctophobia and Anatidaephobia.

Eugene's most recent and greatest fear is what he saw in the vision granted to him.
