Mercer was born in eastern Rhudaur, joining the local night's watch chapter from a young age. The rumor goes that he lost his will to speak during a mission in the Talon mountains. A few years after he was sent to surpress a revolt in the province of Umbria where he met his dearest friend @Lennard Rye. Although the two don't converse all that often, owing to Mercer's innate silence, they'd go through fire for one another.
