The leader of the Red Fists. She has a long history fighting against the nobles and rich merchants of The Empire of Mori.
It all started in a small coal mining town where she and her father Marius lived, her mother died in childbirth. Her father worked hard at the Black Hollow coal mine in the deep depths to put food on the table at night tutoring her himself. He taught her all about the great classics and myths of the old world before the Scarring and filled her wonders.
One fateful day, he went below as usual but a loud crash shook the town and part of the mine collapsed, dust spread across town and people rushed to the site to help the survivors. That day forty-seven bodies were pulled from the rubble and her father was among them. Many more were never found and were buried in the deep. She knew her father always complained about the shoddy beams used to strengthen the tunnels and greedy owner demanding they dig faster and deeper, abandoning all safety. Inspectors were known to take cheap bribes to look the other way.
Investigation of the accident was launched but ended abruptly with no arrests or consequences nor any explanation. The mine owner, Lord Aldric Dain, blamed it on incompetence of the miners. The constabulary called it unfortunate.
Lysandra called it murder.
She infiltrated the local magistrate's office and lifted the sealed documents about the accident from the archives. Armed with these documents she traveled to the capital city and made her case before the courts but again no action was taken. Palms were greased with blood money and all inquiries were shut down.
She was done giving speeches. She would set an example.
Frustrated with the lack of activity from the officials she decided to take matters in her own hands. Meeting up with a disgruntled army officer Tiberius Thorne they broke into a high-ranking magistrate's office and went through their ledgers and account books. When they found evidence of the magistrate's corruption they grabbed him in his office. During his interrogation, he confessed to taking bribes and embezzling funds, turning a blind eye to the common people's suffering including the miner's of her home town. Enraged by his hand in the disaster that lead to her father's death, she shot him through the back of the head.
They left his account books nailed to the front gates of the Merchant’s Ring, every bribe and embezzlement circled in red.
Realizing the problem is the system itself they created the Red Fist organisation and aligned themselves with the labor unions of the city, promoting workers rights. However, Lysandra and Thorne used their clandestine knowledge to spy and blackmail any corrupt officials in the city, turning them to their cause and changing the system from within.
