Personal history
Born of a lowborn family, Vorel Dantham saw as a child the noble knights of his home in Wolforde ride with the king on a royal hunt; so they quickly enlisted and rose through the ranks until they were a part of that shimmering splendor.
But when the Queen betrayed Wolforde to their enemies, Vorel found he could not slay the woman he swore to protect, though she brought his life crashing down upon him; so he left in disgrace, falling in with some dwarves working their mines to get by.
From them, he accepted a job that ran him afoul of the Thimblewicks, and the rest is history.
