Personal history

Gnarly Toes was born on the day of the Return. His mother, the druid Lorasys, found the safety of Lookout's Landing and met Firbolg there from other tribes. Together they planted a grove of trees and created a new sort of tribe. Gnarly Toes was taught their peaceful ways and how to care for nature. Firbolg are known to speak to birds, beasts, and plants. From a young age, Gnarles showed an even deeper connection. Though mankind has long been absent from the land, Gnarles believes their spirits still linger. His ancestors left traces behind to teach him about this new world and guide him to new forests. He hears their whispers on the wind in the leaves. He sees their reflection in still waters. He feels their footsteps as he sinks his gnarly toes into the earth. He strives for a life of truth and harmony with nature to bring him closer to the spirits. They call him onward into the unknown...

Failures & Embarrassments

Failed Dante in the ruins. Gnarly Toes was the first kid to jump down the hole and the only one who had a chance to save Dante from the Shadow. Instead he trembled with fear and watched his friend die. Never again.

The Firbolg community is small and Gnarles doesn't have an eligible mate. He is pretty sexually frustrated and takes it out on bad guys with his maul.
Gnarles hopes there is someone out there in the world for him. He is old enough now to realize that he also needs to find a mate for his people to have a future.
