Talia's relationship with Cassius
Talia and Cassius have been best friends since they were 12 years. As they aged their bond grew and knew they would die for one another. Cassius realizes that he has more romantic feelings toward Talia and was planning to act on them, but comes to find out that she loves their other best friend (unamed). Cassius never tells her about how he feels or comes in the way of her and his friends relationship. When (unamed) knows he might die, he tells Cassius that he knows about how he feels toward Talia and tells him that after he dies Cassius needs to look after her and their child. of course Cassius takes care of Talia a Jay and makes sure that they have everything they need. Talia becomes dependent on Cass and confides many feelings to him. Cass's love for Talia becomes obvious Jay when she is a teenager and asks her mother why she would never marry him. Talia says that she is aware that he Cass loves her and that she loves him as well, but she could never love Cass the way she loved Jay's father. She says it would not be fair to Cass to be pledged to someone who can not return his love fully. She knows that she could be happy with Cass, but knows eventually Cass would regret his descion and she would prefer that he find someone who is deserving of his love. Cass never officially tells Talia how he truly feels about her other then friendly and family like feelings. Talia knows that her heart will forever belong to (unamed) and doesn't want to hurt Cass.
