The Exile

It's all starting to come back to me. My memories and dreams are showing me visions of my life before The Great War.
 
Just before the War started, I was studying at the Campus . I remember, it was the night before postulate graduation, and I was having trouble sleeping. There was a cool breeze rustling the dried brown and red leaves on the trees. My window was open as always when suddenly a full-sized swan (my heart animal) flew in the window and sat at the foot of my bed. In vislae the swan ordered me to report to the Great Lecture Hall.
 
I pulled on some clothes and made my way to the Great Hall. I could see others groggily marching in the same direction as I. After a short time, the hall was full of half-asleep postulates. Standing before us was the whole Telemeric Court. They told us we were to be exiled to Shadow to save us from the coming war. Many of us wanted to stay and fight, but we were denied that honor. The members of the Telemeric Court explained that we were to be reserves in case the war was going poorly or rebuilders at the end of the war. All the soon-to-be graduates gathered in a circle as the Court performed the ritual that sent us to Shadow.
 
I don't remember much of Shadow, just that I worked with large riding animals and wished I was taller.
 
After the war, the Telemeric Court started to bring us back to Indigo one by one. Now, back in Actuality, I am resuming my studies and helping Aleksandr find the tome "The Phantom Dream Codex".
