Body Features

Has a multitude of scars on her back and one across her forearm from a stray whip all of which she goes to great lengths to keep hidden.
Has a brand on her upper arm. "EC" and a crescent shape that's meant to be something like a sickle, but looks more like a crescent moon.

Healer - a curse that just happens to be useful sometimes. Most of the time it's a hindrance.
Has the ability to only speak and understand one language when she's panicked. She has yet to find a use for this particular annoyance.

Mentality

Personal history

Was born in Ratlan and raised by her parents Kate and Douglas Buchanan until she was eight.
It was around this time that her parents began an attempted revolution, though Dawn picked up only on a plan to free prisoners from the fighting pits.
Due to her talkative nature when she was eight, this information wound up in the hands of the state. Her parents were immediately arrested and subsequently executed.
Afterwards, she was raised by a family friend, Madge Lawton, with whom Dawn lived until about 20 when Madge went missing.
Unable to keep up with bills on her own, Dawn found herself falling deeper and deeper into debt. Finally, her debtors demanded that her debt be repaid. Still unable to repay these debts and now under the threat of arrest, she sold herself as an indentured servant in order to repay these debts.
 
It has been five years since then.

Employment

Secretarial work at a hospital from the ages of fifteen to twenty one.
Has previous experience working as a healer at a church when it was necessary.
Four years ago she worked clearing roads of snow in the winter. It was here that she saw many friends die from both frostbite and dehydration. Consequently she learned both not to eat snow in the winter and learned not to make friends.
Has recent experience as a farm-hand; pulling tassels off of corn, pulling weeds, overturning fields, keeping fields free of weeds, etc. Admittedly, she wasn't very good at that.
