Book 7: Wind, Chapter 11: Manaki Report

General Summary

The party arrives at Manaki after traveling for several days. There they begin their search for information on the Wind Stone. They begin by visiting the library and a local store. At the store they manage to gain the trust of the shop owner, who agrees to tell them about the stories they've heard of the legendary shield that saved the town. They just need to pay the man a visit after his shop closes. Dr. Saof, being asked by Fabian about the stone several months before, has a map for The Circle of Stones, and a very overdue paraglider rental. After awhile, the party obtains a lead from the paraglider rental store that could prove useful. They are told that in order to easily gain access to the historic site below, talking to Katherine, the city's ruler, is necessary. They agree to help Hellah in exchange for the paraglider, and kill two aarakocra with one arrow by talking to Katherine. However, when they entered the Winter Light Casino to talk to her, they are met by Algard Ifohld.
