???
A mysterious sorcerer who has appeared in numerous dreams, promising great power and inviting many to a revolutionary ritual in the forests of Toletiva and its subject tribes, under the watchful and hateful gaze of Nonskis.
Headmaster Alastair Braden
Former village elder and history teacher from the northern villages of Condorivera, the first casualties of the Toletivan war of extermination and theft. Being the only survivor, he forced to wage guerilla warfare against three feuding realms in order to protect his home and his people. He fullheartedly believes the woodlands should be unified.
[br]
As the Resistance army established itself, so did Alastair. His unique strategies employing the "Ascorni Charge", an attack shielded by a thick fog of dukespowder smoke deployed by specially commissioned rifles, had all but stopped the undead advance in their tracks. To go with this, under the sponsorship of Smyklion, he had managed to wither the Liccan mercenaries in the region to the point of the Liccan Home Guard being sent out, only to be deterred by a temporary truce where he united with the Cider Whores to invade Toletiva. Here, he ensured the security of Dante's family business in exchange for the collapse of the castle of Tole, where numerous unarmed Toletivan families lived, mostly nobility.
[br]
Nowadays, Alastair mostly busies himself with hanging prisoners of war, traitors and other obstacles to the prosperity of the burgeoning Federation, seeking to serve what he has in politics to retire with his legacy in competent hands.
Alessia Thorroria
Once a beautiful young human woman, she had gotten embroiled in a cruel curse cast by a lieutenant of the Striking Queen when she was dungeoneering with her romantic interest. Now, with the memories of her prestigious and beautiful life lost and herself stuck as a blind, dragon-like mutant, she finds hope and respite in the company of Fiski and Tom.
She holds a special place in her heart for Leonardo, the man who had promised to visit her every month despite her being unsightly and what she perceives as a burden.
[br]
[br]
During Leonardo's battle with Aurora, she joined the fight with Fiski and fought with all her might agains the abominable false prophet. Despite ferocious resistance, Aurora managed to strike her down with a foul spell, leaving Fiski to bury her and swear vengeance.
Arrkhan Iskie
The hateful leader of the wolf pelagekin group set on exterminating the sheep pelagekin they peacefully lived alongside until an escapade at a marriage ceremony lead to a burst of tensions (a fight initiated by party shenanigans), which in turn lead to a massacre and seizing of property. They attempted to extend their operation to Senho to hunt down the sheep who ran, but were put to a stop by the party's infiltration due to previous unbeknownst good faith between the two that was certainly one sided. After this cell in Senho was destroyed, the rest packed up anything of value on sleighs and burned the village to ash, setting off to Toletiva where they sought refuge until vengeance could be achieved, turning into a band of militant fanatics.
Aurora "Godshate" Ristorsviet
Aurora was born among ths sorcerers of Toletiva during a magentic storm that rained over the north, one brightened by an immense aurora borealis.
This was deemed by the pagans to be an expression of wrath from Nonskis, and thus was in his honor named the child.
Aurora would seiftly embrace the blessings of Nonskis, rising through the ranks of the Toletivan knights to the point of Grand Master, at which point his retinue of sorcerers brought forth a proposal.
Aurora would accept this offer of theirs and under the circle of sanimancers, sangumancers and liberiomancers would have his limbs and body deformed and stretched into the mould of a shimmering blue suit of armour, recovered from the dungeons of the 17th that reside under the twin castles.
In his life and leadership of the Lycan Knights, he had also allied himself with the Cult of the Warning Star, embracing the blessings of the abominations and thusly mostly stealing his soul back from Nonskis and handing it to an even crueler master.
He is a cruel man, taking immense plessure from sadistic streaks of torture and brutality, often guided by the power of his blade that holds the spirit of a wyrm imbued within its bone core. This brutality was stopped at the wrong end of a chunk of moon sent down by Nonskis upon Leonardo, who had used his own being to cling to Aurora as a homing beacon for the stone, utterly reducing both to gore. In the words of the Son Forlorn, he will wander the Grey for an eternity over the sharpest stones.
Breelixiaalurtius "Fox"
One of the few awakened Mucena, only known as the Fox by the party. He posesses a curious personality, with a complex moral system that is still developing. Though risen and sent out with the notion that the 19th cycle are leeches to theirs, imprisoning the Mucena for their own arcane might, he's learned that the situation is far less black and white.
Since then he's formed a unique bond with the party, almost a friendly one with all but Dante. In specific he has taken to Yuri as a kind of acolyte, hoping to assist her in learning about all the magic he can teach her in the short lifetime pelagekin have. This is likely due to himself knowing what its like to feel as though you're wandering the world, without an idea of where home is.
Bubi
A favourite torture toy of Hoib's. Before this existence he was a reputable executioner who, after Hoib's mysterious escape from his own death sentence, had been abducted and turned into a creature whose mind has been shattered into the mould of a screaming, pained being always at the reach of Hoib's beatings.
He was peacfully laid to rest in Isabella's arms.
Casimiro Angelo
Chipper leather merchant making his way across the provinces of Condorivera and Confineteres, with his most common stop in Licca. Friend to Dante Coiro. A sweetheart, but he also has really strong morals and will not let anyone argue with him on them, which is his one downsides but also makes him a strong protector to those close to him since one of his values is friends and family (who he also teases relentlessly).
After the war quieted down, Angelo sought out the party and agreed to help rebuild it, seeing it as a new way to expand business in the burgeoning nation. He spearheaded the arrival of refugees, providing tents and organizing a defense against a Toletivan revenge raid.
Federico Fanciulla
Father of Mariell, as well as one of the co-owners of the Rhokastro Inn. A stoic exterior protects him from the troubles that had befallen his family. Rarely speaks of his history before the birth of his daughter, preferring to dazzle the curious with his woodcarving / toymaking hobby.
[br]
In recent travels a section of the puzzle that is the history of Rhokastro's oldest residents had begun to be pieced together. Through a tense encounter, it was found out that both Federico and Isabella's father, Alessio, are Mormiloan deserters still being searched for by kill squads. Adding yet to his past is the strange amount of memorobilia laid on his grave beneath Senho's pines, making clear a social web greater than anything he had spoken openly about.
Fiski
A young Wyrmskinned who was found inside an abominable dungeon and rescued. He seems to have been torn through time by the Abominations, taking him through millenia to present day. In a new world and a continent away from his home empire, the young man had given himself fully to the way of the sword under the tutelage of Tom, leading him to a dirty and unforeseeable style of fighting that often includes dukespowder and incendiary bombs. He made friends with Alessia, as two lonely beings in a world foreign to them. Two nobodies with only each other to keep company. Unfortunately, after the battle with Aurora, he was forced to bury his dear comrade and go about journeying alone.
Hellvet "Monstermaw" Traccia
The joyful and jokey lord-knight in the service of Adelheid. He is her uncle and is constantly pressuring for war on the side of resistance. He fully embraces the rumors about him, most of all the one about him being born from a barrel. He is called Monstermaw because of his signature laugh that echoes loudly through his helmet, carefully forged specifically to echo it even louder than it is normally. It is also the name given to his keep.
Hoib "The Hated" Berhtram
The wicked liberiomancer and portmaster of Senho. His disposition presents an outer shell of posh manners and high class treating, but behind it is a truly hateful and cruel person. His plots have extended throughout decades, and his keep within the Cowport is filled with strange homunculi within its walls (literally, in some cases). Just as his power was established, and he stood at the edge of utter control over all his pawns, a group of ragtag peasants throw an errant wrench into his works, and he is forced to act desperately to save his plans.
After his homunculi met the Senho garrison of Tilessian and other Resistance fighters under the leadership of Alastair, he joined the battle atop Christopher - a particularly heinous being. He was however stopped in his tracks by the whims of a witty druid who routed his force, and in the ensuing chaos he was hunted down and eaten alive by Leonardo, who had given into his curse and embraced a lycanthropic form. Despite the party's raid on his castle, they were too late to extinguish both of his backup bodies, and the Necromantress of Pomedua had sailed with it to the west in order to further the goals of the Warning Star.
Kamila Coiro
Kamila is a woman of quiet grace and gentle strength. Her face, though lined with the cares of life, held a serene beauty, her eyes reflecting the wisdom and kindness of her soul. Her hands, weathered by years of toil, moved with a deftness that spoke of her innate skills and practical nature.
Kamila was the heart of their humble home, her presence a soothing balm to Eamon's stern demeanor. She managed their household with quiet efficiency, her touch evident in the well-tended garden, the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the kitchen, and the warmth that permeated their humble abode.
Krokhaem Orcarmour
A veteran warrior of the Firehammer mercenary company, how leading the Cider Whores in their contracted war within Condorivera. A recent encounter with a mysterious sorcerer has lead him to abandon the mercenary code and begin preparations to head into the woods of Toletiva. A stalwart fan of gallows humor.
Once entry into the Toletivan heartland was ensured, he lead a daring spearhead that tore into the enemy's line, piercing deep into the woods, where the ritual that would shatter their curse was being performed. It appears though, that the ritual would work at a high cost. They were beset by all the forces of the enemy, and only Krokhaem, asingle soldier, and his standard bearer survived. Their whereabouts are unknown, but they said that they are heading towards the deltas to rendezvous with other mercanary companies.
Lady Adelheid Nertz
The ruling queen of Senho. She had assumed the throne at a young age and soon found herself at a crossroads of consolidating Senhos' power through force or alliance. With the guiding hand of Monstermaw, and his clandestine operations, she was able to withdraw from her betrothal to the abusive Alejandro Garcia, sentencing him to death and formally allying herself with the Resistance. She lended her fleet to the invasion of Toletiva as well as levied her army to strike the final nail in the coffin of the Pomeduan armies. Now she is organizing the Condoriveran woodland into a mighty federation from the Frigid Sea to the Conda with the help of Alastair and Monstermaw.
Latixus "Flayer of Pelagekin, Slayer of Men, the Butcher"
An ancient general of Mormiloa awoken from his cursed existence by the Last of Rhokastro, where his curse was dispelled and he assumed his aim of expanding Mormiloa with a new blaze of hatred toward all other species.
Lord Alejandro Garcia
The previously reigning lord of Generosaforta and its surrounding fiefs, lord Garcia was renowned as a kind and generous noble who had joined hands with the lady Adelheid of Senho to help project Senho's sphere of influence in exchange for betrothal to the young lady, despite already having a mistress. He had used this time to attempt to guide Adelheid to joining the invading forces to divide up Condorivera. His plan was going well until a ragtag group of refugees joined his political rival - Lord Traccia "Monstermaw" - and burnt Generosaforta to the ground while Garcia was campaigning against Tilessia.
He went into hiding for most of the war after that, but was captured by Tilessians and brought to their new village, where he was summarily executed along with any blood relation to him.
Lothario Lettiere
The priest of the church of Brother Fury in the village of Rhokastro. A passionate speaker and angry man, Lothario often takes with his brazier staff and red mace to the podiums, preaching the word of resistance to any who will listen, praising the fighting spirit and horribly keeping his secret meetings... well, secret.
Matila Benedetta
In the heart of a village touched by the echoes of war, a resilient duo forged a haven amidst the trials of life. Matila, a woman of wisdom and healing, had fought hard and sacrificed everything to earn a degree in Medicine from Mormiloa. There, she had met Alenssio, a charismatic student of the military school. Alenssio was a brave, and well-respected soldier. Such as, he got a piece of land in the village called Rhokastro. He promised Matila to take her with him, and so they married, and their union gave birth to Isabella.
Alenssio's life was claimed by the brutal hands of war, leaving behind a single mother, Matila, and their daughter, Isabella. The village, still recovering from the scars of conflict, faced a new challenge, yet Matila's determination remained unbroken. Alongside Isabella, she ran the local ambulance, a haven for the sick and elderly, where her expertise in herbs and medicine brought comfort to those in need.
Molly Rossi
The only daughter of a famed military family in Licca, Molly resides alone in a large house leaned against the inner walls of Licca. She upkeeps its dozens of rooms, experiments with numerous apple-based recipes and works a table-tending job in the Blue Light tavern. When the party met her, she took a liking to a young man among them and allowed them to sleep and eat for free in her home. Across the days of good relations, good talks and offhanded flirting, she and Dante finally realized the love at first sight on the day of the party's leave, placing faith that one will return to the other and live a good life when duty finally ends its incessant call. She values independence and duty, and is all around a kind person, though a tad hard-headed.
Monique La'rue
Monica is a young sheep pelagekin woman born in the small village of Turto-a-Rivera just north of Senho, host to a wolf and sheep pelagekin population. The two groups were almost joined in unison at a small village wedding, but a fight, started by the douchiness of some of the groom and bride's families and fanned into a true battle by a wayward group of Rhokastran refugees, lead to tensions that saw the wolves all but exterminate the sheep.
Monique is one of half a dozen people who escaped and scattered, with her taking shelter in a small leatherworking workshop which she operates for her landlord, a man often out sailing the seas.
She is a kind and warm-hearted person, as well as a passionate baker, and dreams of one day returning home.
Ottavio Necci
The village elder of Rhokastro. A stern but caring man, trying his best to calm the rising tensions in the village as folks begin to pick sides and divide neighbors. The sole owner of a gun in the village, he carries himself with pride and unrelenting determination to bring peace and prosperity back to the village, even if it means verbally sparring with the priest of Brother Fury.
Perioto Tapicazza
The son of a rich and powerful Liccan construction contractor, Prioto has been sent to oversee and direct the reconstruction of Rhokastro, making great headway, with all buildings being a vast architectural improvement - although, abound with Liccan influence. His crews are good with the locals, managing the spiteful relationship between Ascorni and Liccan well along with their work. He also made sure Molly's shipment of cider made it through to Dante. His greatest ambition is to construct a stout fortress of his dreams, one that will stand not due to its height or complexity, but due to its good design and position.
Rhokastro Militia
Currently counting a mighty 7 men, the militia was established as a deterrent and hunting party to the increasing tension with the wildlife around Rhokastro. Among them is a veteran who distinguished himself in Alastair's army, and one has already given a foot for Rhokastro in a fierce battle to distract a wyvern so a killing blow may be dealt. They have thus far displayed bravery in the face of anything asked of them, and delivered satisfying results despite their relatively bad equipment.
River Troll
A natural predator of the Condoriveran wood, the river troll stalks the small stream near Rhokastro, where he had also placed his lair. In the party's first sally from the village, they happened upon an unfortunate encounter with the hungry creature, who had almost taken the life of one of the adventurers - leaving her scarred for life with lingering phobia.
When the party finally returned to Rhokastro after months of absence, the rebuilding operations lead them on a hunt for wyverns, which in turn lead them to the river troll's lair. Upon seeing that the troll was actually balancing the delicate game of predator and prey in the region, a primitive deal was struck. Live and let live.
Roza Troshcce
An ex-Pomeduan noble now reduced to homeless, Roza is a bubbly and somewhat dim person, opting to focus on positives of whatever is the current affair rather than dwellijng on future and past. In recent times she was outed as a coping alcoholic and apt thief, having stolen a large cache of various sorts of alcohol and drank a lot of it to help her sleep through the ever-present voices that appear whenever she attempts to sleep - a direct result of the traumatic fall of Pomedua and her family's escape. Isn't aware that she has been friendzoned by Mariell, still attempting to shoot unimpressive flirts whenever she can muster them. Doubtless, should her positive facade fall she will fall with it.
Silka
A pelagekin appearing to Dante as a supporter of his scheme to rid the world of the Mucena threat. As he is being used by Ohlivia as a vessel, he has spent a couple thousand years in an empty void. It was only when Dante unleashed his bare Mucena arm to divorce a Pomeduan knight from existence that he saw a flash of light. He desperately clawed his way into the one source of being in his miserable existence, finally talking to and placating Dante with promises that they are on the same side.
Though their reasons may differ slightly, Silka's resentment is reserved for the Mucena alone after they shred his friends to pieces for defiance of their plans long ago, and for imprisoning him in the bubbling stew of hatred that was the void of a posessed soul. He has implied to also have somehow contacted Yuri's doppelgänger, though this is unclear. He has tasked Dante with placing hairs from his old, plumed helmet into the hand of a spirit in the Maze of the Serpentine, so that he may assist in turning his friends against the Mucena via more direct means.
Silvius Coiro
Silvius, a man of weathered hands and a stern countenance. His face, etched with the lines of time and toil, bore the marks of a life lived under the unforgiving sun. His eyes, deep-set and piercing, held a hint of hidden warmth, a glimmer of compassion that belied his gruff exterior.
Despite his gruff exterior, Silvius possessed an unwavering love for his family, a love that manifested not in outward displays of affection but in the quiet sacrifices he made each day. He provided for their needs, ensuring they had shelter, sustenance, and the foundation for a life of their own.
Silvius, the stern tanner, the father figure, was a man of contradictions, a blend of harshness and compassion, a man shaped by the demands of life and the love for his family. His legacy lived on in his children, in their strong work ethic, their unwavering resilience, and in the quiet admiration they held for their stern yet caring father.
The Chef
A mix of ice in his veins and fire in his words forms this strange and unusually cruel man. Using eastern sangumancy, the head chef of Kroppa Droppa performs culinary wonders to create a completely personalized meal, tailored to one's traumas and passions. He is a man of mysterious goals, but has agreed to cooperate with the Last of Rhokastro, even if the deal was made behind the backs of the mostly traumatized party members.
The Rooster
A stout defender of Pinanica, the rooster stands guard against a deadly nest of wyverns to the north of the village. He has gotten in numerous scuffles with foraging young wyvern males looking for new territory, accompanying the village militia at the head of their formation, thusly being applied to their banners. Last seen chasing off forest spirits and praising Brother Calm by keeping the everlasting peace and quiet of Pinanica,
Tom
An enigmatic and esoteric individual who the party had met on their travels. He appears to ride in a magical carriage which expands tenfold on the inside, holding countless rooms inside of it, along with infinite possibilities of food and artifacts beyond time and space. He is an old recurring friend of Leonardo's, and lent him a weapon to help stave off Aurora's dragon for long enough to ensure victory. He is joyous and mysterious, having helped Fiski and Alessia get on their feet after rescue by the party.
Yuri Doppelgänger
Yuri's evil half. A direct result of the Fox' experiment to rid the pelagekin of her abominable curse, he split her in two and transferred the curse's effects onto this Yuri - aiming to trap her in an unreachable spot and let the good Yuri live an unbothered life. This went sorely awry and led to an intense chase where the Fox faught a constant battle of held strikes against the fleeing druid who slowly amassed an army of animals, destroying all civilization she found offensive to nature as she ran. Eventually the Fox was forced to sweep the woods mile by mile, allowing the doppelgänger to contact the other Yuri and initiate her into her plan - a plan to destroy the Fox, destabilize magic and allow the forest to truly prosper.
