Becoming Scrap Worthy - 04 - Virellia's Story

The group listens to the heart wrenching story of Virellia, daughter of the Spindle Birch, about her and her brothers and sisters being captured and her siblings were subsequently eaten by the Smilers. The only reason she was kept alive was that the Smilers was going to sell her to the The Marrymaid to impress the Lords of Rust with the funds.   Virella was born in the Dreamwood, now known as Smokewood. She hasn't been back there for several decades.   The leader of the group of Smilers, Hatchethand, is staying in a old fort a couple of days from Torch. The Smilers have captured some Knights of Sarenrae and they are most likely going to be eaten.     The party visits Joram Kyte and he gives them a mission to make contact with his old friend who lives in Scrapwall Dinvaya. He will pay the party 400 GP for completing this.
He also presented the group with his necklace of Brigh to show Dinvaya if they come across her, to prove that they are indeed friends of his.

  Joram also have been gifted the Missing Journal as payment for medical aid.   Joram managed to decipher parts of the Smilers Journal which shows blueprints of a network of Power Relay that would be able to transmit power from Black Hill all the way to Scrapwall. This seems to be what Meyanda was trying to accomplish a couple of months ago, see A Light That Never Goes Out - Prequel   The Council of Torch will offer to pay the Iron Allies a total of 800 GP for investigating and prevent any plots by the Lords of Rust towards Torch.   The party was also introduced to Abernard Royst by Khonnir Baine
