Selected Subject Notes
Subject 003-Δ ("Vosk") – Human, Smiler Gang Enforcer
Status: Acquired through Smiler contact. Heavy cybernetic enhancements, crude work.
Notes: Cortex degradation too severe for transfer. Attempted neural reconditioning—failed. Body rejected secondary grafts. Salvaged remaining organic components. Leftovers disposed of in the Scrapwall pits.
Result: Unusable. Smilers continue to provide faulty stock. Future dealings with them reconsidered.
Subject 017-β ("Redcap") – Gnome, former Technic League technician
Status: Prone to excessive aggression—perhaps due to previous exposure to nanite injections?
Notes: Amputated limbs and replaced with synthetic musculature. Attempted cranial expansion—fatal rejection. Final test: complete spinal swap with bipedal subject (see Subject 018-ζ).
Result: Partial success—subject lived for 3 days before neurological collapse. Promising, but stability remains an issue.
Subject 031-Χ ("Ghost-Eyes") – Elven Psionicist
Status: Taken from ruins near Starfall. Strong latent psionic potential.
Notes: Kept sedated due to spontaneous neural discharges. Cranial dissection planned. Initial scans suggest cerebral structure differs significantly from baseline elven physiology.*
Result: Experiment halted—The Rusting Man ordered this subject to be transferred to his vaults instead. UNKNOWN IF STILL ALIVE.
Subject 044-Λ ("The Red Death") – Half-Orc Gladiator
Status: Captured from arena fights in Chesed.
Notes: Unusual resistance to pain. Attempted adrenal gland modification—resulted in extreme berserker state, unresponsive to commands. Final experiment: complete blood replacement using hemolymph sac from arthropod donor.
Result: Survived longer than expected but ultimately deteriorated. Disposal handled by scavenger teams.
