Chapter 3, Session 9: Prison break

General Summary

The party reached the Solonic city of Fjellheim. After giving their full names to the Solonic Peacekeepers on the gate, where Cassia and Ash pretended to be married, they visited the inn. They met Varg Thunrik the Bard, who played them a song about the hero Rurik Greymark and a song about the history of Fjellheim.

Overnight, Aksel was visited by a deity in a dream and was given a ring of bearspell. In the morning the party walked to the Auld Tree with the intention of locating Freya Thorn in the prison there. On the way they witnessed slaves building a new temple. For the time being, residents are attending temple inside the Auld tree, and the party joined them and sang hymns. They remained in the building after everyone had left.
Aksel talked to a peacekeeper and located the dungeons, then Fiska announced to the peacekeeper that he was drunk. Fiska was promptly arrested by 3 peacekeepers and placed in a jail cell. During the arrest, Cassia attempted to levitate the peacekeeper's keys away, but failed.
Aksel turned into a mouse to investigate the dungeons.

Meanwhile, Fiska used his fishing rod to steal the jail keys. Cassia then used her invisibility spell to enter the dungeon and turn Fiska invisible, and they both escaped. Cassia found a note in the dungeon informing someone that the prisoners had been taken to Vivanta City to work in the mines.

Fiska then spent the next hour investigating the council building and found a note on identical paper to those discovered in the Fiera council building, from someone named Ignatia.

After this, the party met up outside where Cassia and Fiska turned visible again and Aksel came out of mouse form. The party decided to leave town as quickly as possible.

Cassia and Aksel were awarded one inspiration point each, and everyone gained 1500XP.
