session 0.2 Report

General Summary

In the warm firelight of the main guild hall of The Sword of Fate and Fortune  in the City of Mevilleoulu. A group of young new adventurers gathers around an old scarred table and discuss the prospect of forming an official adventuring party.   Deciding to strike out together the group registers as "The Bottom Line" Guild official members of the party include:

They are assigned to go track down the remains of a previous group of adventurers who have not returned from their initial adventure. One of them is in possession of a family heirloom that their family would like returned to them. In addition, the party will be compensated for retreiveing the guild crests from the fallen group. The lost group of adventurers consisted of      Thosva: Female Dwarf Druid, Neutral. Thosva has a narrow face, with thick golden hair and amber eyes. She wears leather armor and wields a hammer and dagger. Thosva is depressed and tactless.   Eris: Female Elf Fighter, Evil. Eris has a narrow face, with thick black hair and grey eyes. She wears chain mail and wields a mace. Eris seeks to become a werewolf.   Igin: Male Halfling Assassin, Good. Igin has a long face, with curly black hair and hazel eyes. He wears leather armor and wields a poisoned dagger and darts. Igin seeks revenge against the aristocrat who framed him.   Serielye: Female Elf Druid, Neutral. Serielye has an angular face, with braided black hair and brown eyes. She wears leather armor and wields a spear. Serielye is haunted by the ghost of someone she killed.   Igni was in possession of the dagger that the party needed to fetch.   Their journey to the ziggurat that the other group was investigating is smooth and uneventful other than the near constant rain and oppresive humidity.   Arriving at the lost temple they began to explore inside. In the initial chamber, they found a colony of bats, some mosaics previously defaced by time,and some unknown ancient person, and a large tough around the outer edge of the room that once was used as a source of lighting.   Following the tracks through the unhealthy amount of guano on the floor they entered a hallway that led them to a sunken area full of water. here mosaics depicted a ritual of carrying eggs into the water and then out again changed into something new. After some time discussing the area they attracted the attention of a Cavefisher, that rose out of the depths of the water. It was quickly dispatched by Gromnush and the party moved forward only to find the drowned corpse of Eris the Elf fighter. She had no visible injuries but was well and truly dead.   Pushing forward they entered the main room of the temple. Here they found a throne and an elaborate mural of some unknown being. on the floor in front of the throne were to bodies of Igin and Thosva. Igin's corpse looked like it had swollen up and been crushed by its own armor in the process Thosva was slain in battle. Standing on the throne laughing in a deep masculine voice was Serielye. Deep in the process of attempting to summon the creature from whatever plane it calls home she did not notice the party who quickly attacked her.  Weakened by blows from Vantz, she was unable to resist as she was swallowed whole by Bacon in the form of a giant frog. Lastly, with the great mosaic maw attempting to consume them Gromnush brought his hammer down in a mighty smiting blow shattering the pieces and closing the forming portal.   The great maw marked their presence as it faded out of existence and the Ghost haunting Serielye has attached itself to Bacon, however, the party was successful in receiving the dagger and returning it to the family of Igni in Ville.
