Alone
After trying to keep the village up for a month, I've finally given up. I had hoped I would discover something while working on the crops and tending to the animals, but that all proved too much for one person.
I also just don't think I can handle it anymore. I've learned how to speak to the animals like my father could, but it's still... I just miss everyone.
I've come to a decision, and it may take time to do it, but I am going to leave.
I've talked it over with Alice and Daniel, as well as all the elk that have worked with me. They will go elsewhere. They've assured me they'll be OK, and have even promised to check on me every now and then. As for Alice and Daniel, they have agreed to let me find them a new farm to work, so long as they are treated well.
I don't know exactly what I'm going to do. Maybe I'll go search for clues around the forest. I'll harvest as much as possible. Preserve what I can, sell the rest, and but what I can't manage on my own yet.
I don't think I will take anything with me. All of it just brings me too many memories, and I just can't handle that right now.
