Session 13: Corrupted Roots

General Summary

Well you guys sure beat up some hippies and a giant tree, and looked super cool while doing it! But some other things happened...

• As you arrived at the centre of the hill, you briefly saw Strahd von Zarovich before he fucked off to do god knows what.
• Maisie witnessed as the effigy of Strahd made from corrupted roots came to life as a twisted plant abomination thanks to the power of a winery gem and the druids' rituals.
• This battle was huge...in terms of space to cover but you guys got them all! (Maisie also turned into a giant scorpion).
• In the end, 'Wintersplinter' is dead (yes the druids gave it a name) and the Yester Hill Druidic Circle is destroyed...
• Maisie has a monopoly on being a druid now.
• At least Kerberos got his blood spear!

You all also investigated a patch of dead plants...it appears that the twisted tree at the centre is a similar material to the staff Maisie had. After a brief inspection, this tree was identified as a Gulthias tree...and if you don't uproot it (even after destroying it, it will regrow) it will continue to create blighted plants.   The session ended with the party deciding where to go from here!
