The party fought for their lives and defeated a doppelganger and an evil wizard. Malakar offered them immense power in exchange for serving him, but the party rejected his offer. They were teleported back to Veloria—now drastically changed. After some strange antics in a local tavern and a lengthy visit to a merchant’s shop, the party found another tavern. There, they learned that Halo, Gnifty’s cat, had been imprisoned.
