Vaerath was once a powerful ally and a cunning lieutenant under Malakar, the demonic hell dragon who ruled with terror and sadistic pleasure. In ancient times, Malakar reigned supreme, unleashing chaos and torment upon the world, and Vaerath served as his right-hand, carrying out his dark bidding and learning the secrets of hellish magic.
However, Vaerath’s loyalty was never absolute. He harbored deep resentment towards Malakar’s endless thirst for torture and his dismissive treatment of his own followers. When the opportunity arose, Vaerath seized it, conspiring with other disillusioned disciples to betray Malakar and trap him in hell. While Malakar and his disciples sought to claim a powerful artifact in hell, Vaerath’s carefully laid plans turned the mission into a trap, sealing Malakar in an eternal prison using his own power against him.
Now, centuries later, Vaerath is imprisoned by a cult that seeks to bring Malakar back to the material plane, unaware of Vaerath’s involvement in Malakar’s downfall.
