Pale Fortress
The main HQ of the Pale Witch home to the Pale Legion. The stronghold was initially the home of the iron angels now populated by Undead.
Purpose / Function
The Pale Fortress acts as a base of operations for Saveara; it's where she houses her undead like the Pale Legion. It's where she conducts experiments, stores research, and does alchemy.
Alterations
From the Iron Citadel it has undergone alot of changes. Many of the iron parts were replaced with smooth stone, the original houses of the humans that once lived there are storehouses. The walls have been augmented to have skeletal archers & artillery. Two portions of the cities ruins have been altered to serve as a large garden & large farm. Numerous inventions are used in it like the blood canal, chrono spheres, bone powder on the floor, pitfall traps, scorn poles.
Architecture
The Pale Fortress was originally built with asphodelian architecture but was changed to vanir architecture. While the structure itself isn't made of flesh & bone but stone and bone. The bases of the walls, height of the towers, and buildings have sharp jagged bones on the edges. Skulls with scarlet markings are lined around the architecture and statues.
Defenses
The Pale Fortress has numerous defenses that keep it safe and deadly when invaders come. Skeleton archers & bone ballistas acting as artillery tipped with explosive ether. Hazardous poles that spread the poisonous gaseous miasma of a deadly plant called Scorn Poles. Chrono Spheres that alter the flow of time, pitfall traps with blood and bone powder, ECT.
History
This stronghold was once home to the Iron Angels until they were killed in the Pale Purge for the agony & turmoil they caused in the Iron Massacre. After the death of the former inhabitants they were turned into undead and serve their new master Savaera Olgrim.
The island was given to her by her beloved regent Nelio Olgrim when he was ruling Gardenia in his father's absence. The Pale Fortress has stood through heaven & hell, through fire & rain all to retain a symbol of death and justice.
