Orsigale

The Orisgale also called the "Flesh Sculptures" are a race of ancient ones that once lived on the planet Midgard. These peaceful people had the ability to manipulate flesh, blood, and bones of their people making weapons, armors, formations, buildings, and entire cities all from flesh. The Orisgale despite being neutral and peaceful isolationists they were all slaughtered by Odin and his Valkyries during the Raven War being one of the first targets to be slain by the asgardians their flesh used by Odin to make powerful weapons for a coming threat.

The bodies of the Orisgale is psycho-mutable through their will they can shape their flesh, bones, and blood into objects and mend their flesh to heal and regenerate this process is completely painless. The Orisgale are known to be incredibly strong and durable to the point of near-invulnerability.

They are also known to have a powerful healing factor, being able to mend wounds in seconds and regenerate limbs and organs in minutes.   The ability they are all known for is sirkakinesis the power to manipulate pre existing flesh, blood, and bone. This ability is something all Orisgale have but proficiency comes with age the Orisgale use this ability to manipulate their flesh, bones, and blood to make weapons, armor, and their cities. This ability could only be done with Orisgale flesh as it has psycho-mutable properties. They also have a psychic connection to their flesh or any fraction of their organic material being able to sense it in 300ft.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Orisgale reproduce asexually during their mature phase they can spit out one egg that hatches in a matter of days into an infant Orisgale, they can perform this once every 3 months. Orisgale eggs look like large mounds of flesh, blood, and bone & making them drains the Orisgale of 100 years of its lifespan.

Growth Rate & Stages

Once hatched orisgale are the size of human infants and are unable to care for themselves needing their parents for survival. After 10 months the Orisgale is a youngling able to speak, walk, and bend flesh at the lowest level being able to only make small daggers and other small weapons from their arms. An Orisgale is an adolescent after 5 years of life growing to be nearly 5ft. tall and capable of more complex sirkakines being able to make swords, hammers, shields ECT from their bodies as well as being able to control flesh separated from their bodies.   After 10 years an Orisgale has reached adulthood being up to 8-9ft. tall and very powerful in strength and durability. Adult orisgale are capable of even more complex sirkakinesis and command the flesh of other Orisgale so long as it's separated from their bodies. Orisgale at the age of 50 are considered elders and among the strongest of their kind being capable of some of the most complex sirkakinesis in Orisgale society typically leading the group.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

The Orisgale were born from the chaos of the Great Calamity being able to control the flesh of their people. Seeing the chaos on Midgard these people not wanting to be a part of it walled themselves off from the world. Using their flesh, living or dead, they constructed their city Sirkalan. They use their bodies to make their armories and keep themselves safe although they have to leave from time to time to collect bodies so their rot can make the effluvium they need for sustenance.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

  • The Orisgale put their dead in special tombs that doubled as armories and supply storehouses, within these storerooms where many supplies the Orisgale used.
  • They place the corpses they collect in large lakes to rot and fill the water with effluvium thus turning these Gore pools into primary feeding stations.

Common Taboos

  • Leaving Sirkalan was very forbidden as they could be found by the other races of Midgard.
  • Conversing with other races was forbidden as it could distract the Orisgale from their own survival.

History

The Orisgale were born from the chaos engulfing the cosmos after the Great Calamity being made from the essence of the architects and chaos itself making a population of 10,000 flesh sculptors on Midgard. These people sought to keep themselves alive and thriving, walling themselves off from the rest of the planet in a fleshy city called Sirkalan. Due to their need for effluvium as sustenance and their people's inability to decay they had to collect the corpses of others who perished in many conflicts using their rot to remain alive. The Orisgale lived in their isolationist society for centuries until Sirkalan was destroyed and each and every orisgale was killed by Odin and his Valkyries. Their flesh and souls were used by their destroyer Odin via high magic to make powerful weapons for a coming conflict although their souls still remained making these weapons sentient and hateful.

"These beings are weird looking but they have just kept to themselves Odin. I don't think it's necessary to interact with them. - Morigan"   "Through closer examination I have noticed that these beings can manipulate flesh, blood, and bone. Their one city is made entirely of it and their weapons are also made from the same material it's quite versatile. I took a risk and approached them and they turned out to not be hostile and welcomed me. They are quite peaceful and gentle; it's not necessary to kill them. - Mimir"   "I've read Mimir's reports on the Orisgale and I agree there is no need to assault them but what Morigan said really rattled me as much as I hate to admit it. There are seven more like him, no crueler and stronger than him, Mephiles never died and he'll be back to finish what he started. I'd like to think our weapons can cut it but I have a gut wrenching feeling that they won't. The Orisgale are not only good at manipulating flesh but their potential is high as well. I will have to do something I thought I never had to do and make powerful weapons from these people. - Odin"
