Blight

Blight, also called negative energy by mortals, is a type of energy that originates from Null-Father as his spirit and exists in endless amounts in the realm of Hakainion. Blight has many forms although its base form is the form of black & purple plasma and it's this same energy that is used in all negativity spells. This energy is the antithesis of Vigor being the "life-force" of undead healing them while causing damage to living beings.

Properties

Physical & Chemical Properties

Blight is a dark & destructive energy once it comes into contact with matter born from vigor and creation it delivers heavy damage to it having the capacity to completely atomize the one touched. Assuming a mortal survives an encounter with blight their spirit will break being unable to regenerate for a much longer time. Blight is extremely effective against plants and other things filled with the essence of All-Mother causing them to wilt and wither. This energy makes up the life essence of undead like how vigor makes up the life essence & souls of mortals, while mortals are harmed by Blight undead are healed by it and acts as a means of activating a hormone in all undead to cause them to grow and evolve.   This type of evolution can occur when blight is introduced to the Soulless as well, making them stronger, reuniting the blood of Null-Father with his soul essence. Blight has the power to not only destroy but corrupt as through necromancy this energy is manipulated in a way to intertwine it with corrupting the dead and turning them into undead granting them undeath. Blight cannot remain in its true state outside of Hakainion for very long, often resulting in instantaneous bursts of true blight followed by gaseous blight taking its place.

Geology & Geography

Blight can be found in Hakainion and other crossings to that realm.

Origin & Source

Blight comes from Null-Father's own divine soul being the embodiment of nothingness and destruction.

Life & Expiration

Blight goes from plasma to its diluted state in a matter of seconds eventually dissipating all together in the mortal realm due to matter overwhelming the antimatter energy.

History & Usage

History

Blight has been around ever since the beginning of time as Khaois brought it with his own soul. This energy has been used by many mages for their spells assuming the spell involved negativity. Necromancers used this energy for their spells, the most famous being the creation of their undead as this energy is the life-force for undead.   Blight has acted as the essence for all undead ever since their existence & has been used as a means of augmenting them. To many mortals Blight is a malevolent force that shouldn't be used, and those who do use it are often shunned & dark forces continue to use it for their malevolent agendas.

Everyday use

Blight is used as a source of negativity based spells, the creation & augmentation of undead, and immense destruction.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Blight has been feared by many civilizations for it's destructive properties although some want to harness it's power. Undead adore this energy as it's their life-force and the most popular means for their evolution.
