Mithril

Mithril is a highly durable crystalline substance commonly found deep underground near dwarven settlements in mountains. This crystal is highly valuable and coveted by mortals of various worlds for not only being harder than steel but half the weight of it as well. Mithril is often mined by dwarves and other civilizations that exclusively live underground selling it to surface civilizations for high sums of wealth. Mithril has a special property when exposed to lava & slag being able to melt and meld with other metals through this process through this process mithril and steel can be used to make empyrite the hardest metal known to mortals.
