Rusty Rail Railroad Company

A rather shady railroad company contracted by the leadership of Copper Ridge to build a rail station and connect the town to other settlements. They are not known for their reliable tracks.   The Copper Ridge town council is investing in a station along Rusty Rail's steam-powered railline, in direct competition to the New World Station, who is building a magically-powered engine and rail. The proposed railway is intended to connect Crossings Cave, Copper Ridge , Rattlecreek and Z'Veena. Currently, tracks have been lain from Crossings Cave to Copper Ridge, but until the station is built, no train can travel along the shortline.

Rusty Rail Company Tokens

Rusty Rail Railroad Company offers payment via the employee's choice of local average economy rate or "Rusty Rail Tokens" (RRT), which are currently valued at 2cp each (as of Session One, based on Copper Ridge's present economy).   RRT can only be spent at Rusty Rail Company stores and sutlers and typically hold no value to external vendors.  

Forward Camp

This tent-village of a construction camp is currently located outside Copper Ridge. Most transient workers rent tent space from the company, either individual tents, family tents, or sharing space in a bunk tent. Officers of the RRRC reside in sturdier and more secure prefabricated cabins that can easily be disassembeled and moved as the camp advances along with the progression of the track.   Currently, the crew has marked out where the railway station will be built, but no construction has yet begun. Railwork continues, even without a station, cutting a line into the ground to continue the railroad to Rattlecreek and beyond.

The forward camp can and does hire locals to assist in cutting new railline. Current wage offered for railwork (unskilled labor) is 8 cp/day (local rate) or 10 RRT/day.
