Jhoruun
Jhoruun is the capital city of Pharomoor, residing near the mouth of the Bay of Ash. Almost the entire city, comprised of single story buildings, are formed from stone and pale gray clay, found in abundance along the rocky shores. The one exception to this is the city hall, which is a large 2-story building made entirely of dark brown wood. The core of the city, built near the water and the docks, is comprised mostly of shops, inns, and taverns, catering to those arriving in port. The outer reaches of the city are residential, with the occasional shop interspersed. There is a very distinct ridge in the city where the layout goes from being neatly organized to rushed and chaotic. This ridge marks where the rapid expanse of the city began after the rise of Halda Nura, and subsequent destruction of Pharbollen, resulted in a surge of people escaping from the and south settling into the area.

History
Virethime Haragas, commanding general of what was left of Pharomoor's military, made several failed attempts to reclaim Pharbollen. After it became clear that there was little chance of recovering the capital, the city of Jhoruun was marked as the new capital in 1615. Virethime, who had much of the people's support with his repeated promises to cut through Halda Nura and restore Pharomoor to prosperity.
He died of an unusual illness in 1797 and, with no heirs, his Advisor, Roshendur Nafirel took to the throne. While much harsher than his predecessor, he proved to be a very competent leader. While he expressed desire to see the cursed woods destroyed and the land reclaimed, he put great focus on the problems actively being faced. Taxes were raised, but in exchange, he provided cheaper housing for much of the populace and the implementation of various social programs. This greatly reduced the level of poverty within not just Jhoruun, but all of Pharomoor.
Architecture
Primarily made from stone and clay, many of the buildings near the docks and core of the old city are much more decorated. Buildings towards the edge of the city are much simpler and were built quickly to support the growing displaced poulation.
