Gantez Orstrung
(a.k.a. Mr Moneybags the Elephant man)
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Gortaz Orstrung started at the bottom of the Golden Anchor Trading Consort, hauling crates on the docks and learning which captains could be bribed, bullied, or befriended. His size and sharp memory made him hard to ignore, and before long he was handling shipments instead of lifting them. He rose through the ranks with a mix of charm, intimidation, and an uncanny knack for turning overheard gossip into leverage. By the time King Brewick noticed him, Gortaz had already woven himself into Pyzel Harbour’s merchant circles — and knew exactly how to turn that position into something more profitable.
The King’s trust elevated him further, opening doors in Parliament Square and giving him the perfect cover for riskier side ventures. But ambition and greed proved a dangerous mix, and the same instincts that carried him upward eventually steered him toward the black market deals that would destroy him.
Employment
Officially, Gortaz served as King Brewick’s eyes and ears in Pyzel Harbour, tasked with gathering political intelligence from the [[Golden Anchor Trading Consort]] and Parliament Square. His position gave him the authority to mingle with merchants, guild leaders, and lawmakers under the guise of trade negotiations. Unofficially, he used this access to broker illicit deals on the black market, moving goods and information far from the King’s ledgers. This double life kept him flush with gold — until his betrayal came to light.
Known as “Mr Moneybags,” was a towering elephant-man spy for King Brewick, infamous for his gaudy silks, etched tusks, and reckless generosity. While feeding the king intelligence from Pyzel Harbour’s Parliament, he secretly enriched himself through black market trades, believing his treachery hidden. His life of excess and paranoia ended in suicide, leaving behind debts, dangerous secrets, and a trail of lovers and enemies.
