Plane of Duati'net – The Eternal Dominion of the Gods of Kemet
Duati’net – The Eternal Dominion of the Gods of Kemet
Outer Plane | Alignment: Chaotic Evil (CE) Duati'net (pronounced Doo-ah-tee-net)
Duati’net is a brutal, resplendent, and sacred domain—an Outer Plane shaped by the Egyptian Pantheon to be the final reward for their faithful, the eternal prison of their enemies, and the undisputed throne of their supremacy. No gods of other pantheons are tolerated. No other beliefs are permitted. Here, chaos rules through order, and cruelty is divine justice.
Alignment and Cosmological Role:
- Duati’net is a Chaotic Evil plane, created and ruled by the CE-aligned Egyptian gods.
- Here, cruel order is enforced not through righteousness, but through power, fear, and reverence.
- The gods claim that suffering is a sacred refinement of the soul—a philosophy woven into every layer of society.
- Mortal souls and living pilgrims alike are drawn into the cycle of judgment, servitude, and transformation.
- Celestial-Blooded Humans: Blessed elite descended from the Pharaohs’ divine lineage.
- Living Statues & Ushabti: Animated servants and warriors crafted from gold, basalt, or enchanted alabaster.
Updated Inhabitants of Duati’net
1. Celestial-Blooded Humans
- The elite class—those of Pharaoh’s line and the chosen by the gods.
- They serve as nobles, priests, viziers, generals, and executioners.
2. The Anointed Dead
- Souls from YonZora who worshipped the Egyptian gods in life and completed their pilgrimage in Purgatory.
- They retain fragments of their mortal identity and divine favor.
- Often serve in priesthoods, sacred guards, or as honored artisans and scribes.
3. Divine Constructs and Guardians
- Ushabti (divine labor golems), sphinxes, mummies, and scorpion-kin patrol temples and sacred grounds.
4. Seret En-Kemet ("Shadows of Kemet")
- All non-human races are enslaved upon arrival.
- These slaves serve in every capacity—from laborers in sandstone mines to gladiators in blood-soaked arenas.
5. The Sentinels of Set
- The militant enforcers of divine law.
- Often monstrous in appearance, they hunt down dissenters, foreign clerics, or escaped slaves.
6. The Divine Court
- Osiris, Horus, Anubis, Isis, Set, Ra, and others appear through avatars or projections to rule.
- They are not benevolent—they are absolute tyrants cloaked in divine legitimacy.
Worship and Law
- Worship of any non-Egyptian pantheon is punishable by eternal damnation.
- Secret worshipers of other gods are hunted, flayed, and cast into the Abyssal Pits of Sekhmet.
- Divine magic from other sources is corrupted, distorted, or outright nullified within this plane.
Ruling Figure
- Pharaoh Khasekhem Narmer – Last mortal ruler of YonZora’s 5th Dynasty before the fall of Atlantis and its transference to the Outer Planes.
- Now an immortal divine-king who governs the realm as the gods’ earthly will.
- Wields divine authority and supreme command over all human souls and servitor classes.
Key Locations in Duati’net
Atlantis – The Capital of Divinity
- A glorious reimagining of the mythic Atlantis, completely infused with Egyptian aesthetics.
- Built around a floating obsidian pyramid encased in sunfire.
- Capital of the gods, home of Pharaoh Khasekhem Narmer, and the center of divine bureaucracy.
- Only humans and anointed dead may live freely here. Non-humans are visible only in chains.
The Golden Palaces of Ra and Set
- Floating solar temples that orbit Atlantis and burn with divine judgment.
- The gods use these to observe the plane and descend to pass judgment—or wrath.
Cosmological Flow of the Dead and the Living
1. The City of Oz (Plane of Purgatory) – The Soul-Judging Capital
- The City of Oz is located in Purgatory, a transitional plane between life and final reward or punishment.
- Souls of mortals from YonZora who worshiped the Egyptian Pantheon are brought here after death.
- In Oz, souls undergo divine judgment by Anubis and his tribunal of jackal-headed judges.
- The worthy are marked with the Ka Seal and placed aboard the river boats on the River Styx, destined for Duati’net.
- The unworthy are either consumed in Purgatory’s forges or recycled into lower servitor forms.
2. The River Styx – The Vein of the Multiverse
- A cosmic river that flows through all 13 Planes of Existence.
- In this cycle:
- It carries dead souls from Oz in Purgatory to Duati’net, entering near Duskarra and fanning out into divine canals across the capital.
- It also carries whispers, memories, and curses between planes.
3. Duskarra – The Gate City of Duati’net
- Located on the western edge of Duati’net.
- Receives:
- Souls of the judged arriving via the River Styx from Oz.
- Living pilgrims transported by the Astral Odyssey, an arcane train that travels through out all the Outer Plains.
- At Duskarra’s Platform of Judgment, souls are processed by the Sentinels of Set, who distribute them into:
- Atlantis (for the blessed),
- the Divine Labor Forges,
- or the Quarries of Punishment.
