Alaxar's Tower

This is the Tower of Alaxar the Wise and the location of the Alaxar's Tower plot-line in the The Philosophy of Stone campaign. None may enter without Alaxar's permission as powerful wards guard the tower. These wards consist of the stones which make up the tower being magically reinforced with the divine protection of the lost god Ioun, and all windows in the tower being portals to another, random window on the tower. The only point of ingress which does not include one of these protections is the small door that constitutes the entrance to the tower, which can be accessed via Celestenkainen Square.   Following the events in The Philosophy of Stone, Alaxar's Tower's labarynthine base level has been transformed, and now containes the Repository of Alaxarian Enlightenment, an enormous library of uncertain dimensions which requires Alaxar's permission to enter and is infused with a fragment of the power, knowledge and enigmatic properties of Ioun's divine library. This still has the first room, which contains a meeting room for private meetings with Alaxar himself.
