National Guild of Xios Handbook
The National Guild of Xios (NGX) identifes the threat level of each request brought forth by a citizen of Xios, and categorizes them into a ranking system designed to match with an adventuring party that has the appropriate experience required. The guild then writes up a contract for each request to post on the quest board, which members may take for the rewards offered.
Request. Any citizen of Xios is allowed to put in a request for an adventuring party. Whether the request is given verbally or written, the payment must be included along with the terms of agreement in the request before being processed through the guild.
Contract. A legally binding document written by a clerk of the NGX, The contract specifies the date it was comissioned, the request made by the client, rank requirement, and the reward for completing the quest. Tampering with the contract or destroying it will result in disciplinary actions leading up to termination from the guild.
Quest Board. All contracts are displayed every morning on a quest board located in an NGX tower. Contracts are a first come first serve basis, and you can only accept a contract within your rank (You can accept a contract lower or equal to, but not higher than your rank). An adventuring party cannot have more than one contract at a time to provide others a chance to participate.
Tokens. Each member has a badge representing their ranking called a token. It is proof that the adventurer is a member of the NGX, and adheres to the rules and laws provided by the guild. If a token is broken or misplaced, it is up to the adventurer to get a new one issued from the nearest guild. Adventurers are advised to return tokens from deceased members if able, so it can be recorded in the directory. Tampering with the token, as well as creating false tokens will result in disciplinary actions leading up to termination from the guild.
1. Once a contract is accepted by an adventurer, it is their responsibility to fulfill the quest to the best of their ability. Failing to do so due to negligence or incompetence will result in disciplinary actions leading up to termination from the guild.
2. Any collateral damage caused by the adventuring party is to be reported to the NGX for insurance purposes. Damages not claimed will be covered by the adventuring party in question.
3. The rule of Law of the Land applies to all members. This means you are to follow the laws of whatever organization has set in the location you are in. To break a law is to tarnish the NGX name, and those caught will result in disciplinary actions leading up to termination from the guild.

The National Guild of Xios Handbook has a leather cover with the pages made of simple parchment. The spine is woven together with twine, and the title is engraved on the front, with the logo on the back.
NGX Ranking System:
Clay Token: The lowest rank, given to new recruits who have yet to complete a quest.
Obsidian Token: Given to those who have proved that they are competent in battle and able to stand their ground against a threat.
Copper Token: The copper token is given when an adventurer has earned a name for themselves by completing enough quests in a local area. Their names have begun to spread through the common folk by those they have helped, and the occasional gasp can be heard as they pass by a local fan.
Bronze Token: An adventurer is given the bronze token when they have proven to stand against a great threat and never wavered to protect those in harm, no matter the cost. Those who wear this token wear it with pride, for a bronze token is highly respected and known throughout the commonfolk and lower nobles.
Silver Token: When nobles begin to take notice in the deeds of an adventurer, they will request their name specifically from the NGX registry to complete a quest. After completing a noble quest, the adventurer is given the rank of silver, and given a silver token. Those with silver tokens are regarded as high class adventurers, and merchants along with nobles will try to compete for your services.
Gold Token: When enough noble quests have been completed, it earns the attention of a faction leader or lord. Adventurers to complete a faction quest earn the rank of gold and are given a gold token. Adventurers of this status are considered to be the highest class of adventurers known throughout the empire, with prestiege and wealth in abundance.
Platinum Token: When an empire is in danger and in need of aid, they turn to the gold token adventurers for help. Those who complete a kingdom quest are given a platinum token, the highest ranking the NGX can give an adventurer, and their title is changed to Hero. They are known throughout the continent as a defender of their empire, a force to be reckoned with.
Diamond Token: Only one other person has ever received this token, and that was Durim Stronghelm. For his bravery in banishing Myrkul ending the Hundred Year Balance War, he was given the title of diamond, a truely honorific title to have. Having a diamond token proclaims you as the Hero of Xios, the one who fulfilled the prophecy and returned Xios to the Great Circle Era.
