Æther Ocean
The Æther Ocean is the eastern ocean of Xios, mostly occupied by the yuan-ti in the south shores, and dragonborne to the north. The ocean hosts two large islands known as Oghma's Isle and Desolate Isle. The ocean is also home to Kyrox, a legendary kraken that has been known to sink any ships that come in it's path.

Geography
The Æther in the water makes the ocean seem like a glistening sea during the day, giving it it's name Æther Ocean. The tides along the shore are calm and gentle, but the storms out in the seas can be deadly, with the Æther causing a stronger reaction in the currents. The two channels between the islands and mainland provide a good foothold for defences.
Localized Phenomena
Æther whirlpools are an uncommon occurance that happens along the Æther Ocean. Sailers are always aware of the shifting currents and signs that tell of a whirlpool about to form, and a navigator who knows what they're doing can usually avoid one with ease.
