Welcome to Xenoth

A New Type of World

Xenoth is a fictional planet made by me that exists in a non-canonical Halo universe. An important thing to note is that much of this campaign and game will function very differently from the Halo video games, but this was done to make sure it functions more correctly as a tabletop RPG. As such, character creation, enemies, items/weapons, and even allies are most often completely homebrewed and therefore may be much different than what you are used to. So get ready to blast some aliens and have some fun!

Important World Info

Xenoth is a planet that was first found and colonized 5 years ago. since you aren't playing a 5 year old, think about how you got to this planet. Did you and your family come here with others for the hopes of opportunity and wealth? Did you travel here to retire and try and live in solace? Or were you brought here unwillingly?   The planet also contains rich sources of minerals like iron, copper, and carbon, which are mined for economic, industrial, financial, and technological development. The corporation PlanetCrack is responsible for the large amounts of on-planet mining and is run by William Burgundy. Are you or a family member a part of this organization? Or are you here for fishing, logging, business work?   Also, look at settlements on the planet and think about where you lived before you joined the UNSC. Did you live in a large city like Installation Alpha? Or did you live in a smaller town like Andasa?   For additional character inspiration, view Fleshing Out Your Character.

Required Materials

This campaign assumes you or someone in your group can access the Player's Handbook, The Dungeon Master's Guide, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. One example of this is in the classes most of the time it will tell you when to take an Archetype feature, but you will need to reference the PHB to find what that feature is. If you do not own these books you can use the internet, any references you may find here or from someone else, or have your DM choose a ruling if they don't have access to a rule.
