The Covenant
The Covenant is a military alliance between many alien races. These races include the Sangheili, the Unggoy, the Mgalekgolo, the Jiralhanae, the Kig-Yar, and the Yanme's.
This alliance worships the Forerunners and believes activating the Halo rings will lead them to salvation via the Great Journey. They were also informed via the Prophets that Humans were a race that needed to be wiped to extinction as they were demons.
Disbandment
Dissolved on December 11th, 2552 after the last Prophet was killed and the Covenant's holy city had been destroyed.
Foreign Relations
The Covenant before dissolution was told by the Prophets to wipe humanity to extinction.
Tenets of Faith
Activating the Halo rings and worshiping the Forerunners will lead those to godhood via the Great Journey.
