Bursars are skilled mathematicians that use their knowledge of economics and the world markets in order to serve business owners and nobles. They are able to balance books, calculate loans, and even give advice on investments or business ventures.

Purpose
A Bursar fills the role of monetary mathematician among people groups that often lack such an education. A Smith has little need to know how to calculate interest rates. A Brewer doesn't need to know the conversion rates of currencies. Even if the individuals in question are not lacking education, their area of skill is often not market economics.
