Age of Lords

The Age of Lords was the second Wyrthean age, and the one that saw the rise of nations over villages, towns, and city-states. These were still small, but saw the fall of the more-tribal or small communal governing of the Age of Isolation. Where previously there had been little to no politics present as each individual community was the primary focus of said community, alliances and trade began to form. This would pale in comparison to what later ages would see, but it was the beginning of a new age.   Another aspect - one rooted in the growing scope of things - was the development of a nobility. Whereas there had previously been governors, their focus was small scale. They were the managers of communal affairs, but their influence was not far reaching. In the Age of Lords, that changed, shifting the gaze from management to rule. In time, this would cause small communities to overtake others, consuming and growing over the years.
