The Unity War

The Unity War describes a period in Aedan and Barrens history where a large horde from the Barrens invaded several small successor states, forcing the fractured Aedan to band together to defeat the force. Lead by Mak'Gor of his Thousand Sons, the horde swept across Aedan, pillaging and looting as they went. At the height of the conflict, the horde had raided as far north as the eastern crossing of the Yaltri River near Wolfshead and Fort Ambourd, to as far west as Fort Ruby. It was only through the combined military might of the Aedan and the successor kingdoms (with some minor support from Estalia and the Summer Shores) - and a decisive battle near Shee-ago, during which Mak'Gor was killed - that they were able to push the horde back.    The Unity War is generally accepted as the end of The Warring Kingdoms Era, as it accelerated the consolidation of the Aedian succession states into the modern Aedan.
"Stand with me! Forget your oaths, forget your families, forget yourselves! Know only the strength of your steel and the ones next to you! Lock shields! Dig your feet in! Hold! HOLD!"
- Sgt. Bakerswell, Queen's Wardens
- Recorded by Terence Kipling, Sensor immediately before Bakerswell's squad encountered His Thousand Sons. Bakerswell's squad reported 100% casualties.
