Mak'Gor of his Thousand Sons
Mak'Gor is a famous figure in the history of The Barrens and Aedan. An orc from the Barrens, Mak'Gor lived a very difficult childhood surrounded by myth. As the stories go, he killed his father as a babe, in response to his father trying to kill him to avoid having another mouth to feed.
Upon reaching adulthood, Mak'Gor became a powerful raider, known for his brute strength and daring, rampaging deep into Aedan, almost to reaching the Estalian border. With his skill, he managed to amass a large following, which he referred to as "his children". Although some came forward at the time claiming to be a blood child, none were completely proven, and none were officially recognized, keeping with Mak'Gor's tradition of treating all as his followers as his children.
In addition to his skill in battle, he was extremely popular because of how we treated his followers. His children prospered under his rule, both in terms of wealth but also in terms of peace and unity. Although his strength was what is most remembered in Aedan and Estalia, his most powerful tool was his skill at diplomacy. He was an accomplished mediator, and was able to keep peace among the various tribes which followed him. Famously, Mak'Gor would take it upon himself to settle disputes among his followers, no matter how small, in a similar manner as one would settle a dispute between siblings - with patience and discipline; even sending people to time-outs.
His legend ultimately ended with The Unity War, where he and his horde were defeated by the combined power of the Aedan kingdoms. Despite his ruin, he is remembered fondly throughout the Barrens, with many proud to be descended from his children.
